Stylish Plus Wishlist

In lieu of feeling like posting outfits I appear to have come up with rather a lot of wishlists this week,
the latest being from new to me website Stylish Plus– a real mis-mash of clothes, shoes and accessories, some of which are just downright gorgeous.
I’ve stuck with my current theme of (mostly) black and white and I’m seriously coveting these gems.
The cat lady in me couldn’t resist this tee

A perfect cover up for the cooler, but not freezing days

I really love how classy and timeless this 2 in 1 dress is (and a bargain too!)

Clearly I’m a sucker for the cute factor!

If I could wear heels these ankle boots would be on their way to me right now.

I just loved how asymmetric this jacket is, I’d wear it till it fell apart.

I love finding gems like this on the internet, it’s one of those websites where you really have to trawl through- perfect when you have time on your hands (or if you don’t!)
Take a look and let me know what your picks would be.
And have a good weekend!

In Pieces

Skirt c/o Front Row Shop
Vest: ASOS
Boots: New Look
Apologies for the appalling photos. It’s been a funny week for getting outfit photos with changes in light and having people in the house at all times (yep, I’m a shy blogger). I’ve also had a couple of days of struggling with body image so just getting dressed has been achievement enough, let alone wearing anything blog worthy!
Anyway. I really love this skirt from Front Row Shop. I’d never heard of them before but they got in touch asking if I’d like to try them out and so I did. And I was impressed. There are some fantastic, high fashion pieces on the site at fairly reasonable prices and with good shipping rates and times. The skirt fits like a dream- the sizing guide was really helpful and I have high hopes I can get a lot of wear out of it over A/W once I’ve built up my wardrobe a bit more…it’s really lacking at the moment, I need a massive overhaul of my current warmer clothes as a lot don’t fit or suit me.
Rambling.
Sorry!
The boots are a recent buy from New Look and will be a fixture on my feet until it gets too cold or too wet to wear them. It’s the only heel I’ve been able to wear for ages- not that you can really call it a heel and suits my style, past and present perfectly.
Enough from me. It’s Friday. The weekend starts now!
I’m off to the hospital to get a check up on my foot- the steroid injection didn’t work so we’re going to plan what comes next…
Then it’s work for a few hours and off to spend the weekend with the boy. Bliss. I’m super excited to see the progress he’s made on my bike. Might have to snap some sneaky pics.
What are you up to this weekend?

ultimate daisy chain dreaming- the M&S pink coat

*Swoon*
Isn’t it gorgeous? This is the coat that has had fashion pulses racing since the press days, and it’s from good old Marks and Spencer of all places.
M&S collection Duster coat is sold out almost everywhere in the beautiful Blush Pink (other colours are still available), which isn’t a surprise given it’s only £85…a very reasonable price as far as a winter coat is concerned.
I’m in the market for a new winter coat and this is a strong contender,
providing I can source one, of course. No other colour will do for me. It’s Blush Pink or look elsewhere I’m afraid!
What’s got your heart racing this season?

How Smart is YOUR TV?

Have you heard of a smart TV before? Chances are that unless you closely follow technology you’ll be like me and new to the whole concept. With everything from built in full internet connection through to Ultra HD viewing it’s kind of scary how much things have changed even in my fairly short lifetime.
My first memory of TV is being sat right up close to a big, clunky box, and on the terrible day that it went up in smoke it was replaced with the somewhat defunct dial controlled black and white thing that lived in my parent’s room. I remember not that many people owned their TV either- they were rented from shops and upgraded every couple of years (that was always an exciting time!)
Now I don’t really know of anyone who DOESN’T have their own TV…or six. In our house alone there are four of the things, each in varying degrees of newness and yet suddenly they seem decrepid compared to the smart TV.
Smart TV’s really are the future of home entertainment viewing. I really like the sound of the TV Sideview feature that comes with this new technology- you can learn more about what you are watching with cast and episode details of your favourite programmes, and this is from someone who doesn’t watch  that much TV at all really. I’d love to try this on the Great British Bakeoff though!
There is also the Sony Entertainment Network where you can browse the web or discover films, songs and all your favourite shows and use apps…The best part is that with the new technology, you can link a specially enabled smartphone to the big screen so all of the content on your phone can basically be brought to life!
It all sounds pretty snazzy. It all comes at a price of course but if you’re seriously in to your TV it sounds like it may well be a worthy investment. I’ll admit I’m intrigued, there is no way I could justify it at the moment but one day, maybe…although goodness knows what technology will have come up with by then!
I found this cool infographic of the biggest TV broadcast moments… how far we have come since the TV’s that captured the moon landing of 1969….
