10 Years of ghd and Breakthrough Breast Cancer
I don’t normally share infographics on the blog but this is a cause close to my heart and I know a lot of you lovely ladies use ghds,
it’s amazing to see companies work together with charities, raising vital funds and aiding the battle to find a cure.
Well done ghd, well done.

tartan- the other black
Dress c/o Spoiled Brat
Tights: Topshop
Boots: New Look
Black might be my key theme for the winter months but I can’t draw myself away from last year’s love of tartan either. The second I saw this dress by Neon Rose on Spoiled Brat I wanted it, and a few days later the lovely team there offered to send me one. Made up? I certainly was!
I can’t say enough good things about this dress, it’s flattering and comfortable and it’s got TARTAN on it. Winning combination. I also really like Navy against my skin tone and hair colour so yeah. I think I’ll live in this quite a lot and it’s perfect for this inter-seasonal weather.
Happy Middle of the Week folks,
half way through!
Once again I have a manic day ahead with my 7:15am start at work and an afternoon of organising myself and packing for the long weekend away. I’m not the world’s best packer so it will pretty much take me a few hours to decide, un-decide and decide again.

Thank you for the super amazing comments on yesterday’s post. They all meant a lot to me
(and yes, I know I bagged myself a keeper!)
((and yes, the Rook piercing hurt!!))
Have a good rest of the week and weekend

weekend outfits and bike love
Short and sweet post today with my outfits from the weekend- purely because I liked them both
plus a sneaky preview on the fixed wheel bike the boy is building me- did I mention that he’s building me a bike?! I love it already and only the frame is done. We manage to snag a super rare French vintage frame for an amazing prize on ebay and he’s sprayed it hot pink then designed stickers to jazz it up a bit. The name of the bike is taken from my blog name- it seemed like a pretty girly yet apt name for a bicycle, don’t you think? I’m so excited to see the whole thing finished although it’ll be a good month or longer yet as we need to source the remaining parts and let things like the laquer set. I think it’s hands down the most romantic thing any one has ever done for me, although me learning to ride fixed wheel could be incredibly amusing- I’m rusty on a bike with gears!

AW13 from Warehouse
Back in June Warehouse launched a national competition where people could submit their outfits. Based on the facebook votes nine winners were selected and these nine outfits have now been incorporated in to a video campaign which follows the day in the life of a girl who changes outfits every 90 minutes according to what is happening in her life.
90 minutes bears significance as Warehouse have just launched a 90 minute delivery service (available in a wide range of cities across the UK- brilliant!)
I think the idea of the campaign and the accompanying video is fantastic,
it reminds me a lot of myself and how I can change outfits several times in a day- I never seem to be able to choose something to suit a range of occasions. I am yet to manage nine clothing changes but you never know, it could happen!
I’d love to hear your views on the campaign and the concept. Also tell me about how many outfit changes you’ve managed in one day. I’ll be amazed if it’s reached double figures!
On a side note I am absolutely loving the AW13 collection from Warehouse, so many pieces have made it’s way on to my wishlist!

Blog posts will be few and far between for the next week, bar for a couple of scheduled ones. It’s a mad start to the week and then I’m away Thurs-Sunday with the boy for his birthday. Off to visit his home town of Melton Mowbray, I’ve never been that far North so I’m really looking forward to it.
Have a good one
I’ll be on a catch up rampage when I am back.

Sarenza Sunday- Pretty Dandy
Hello perfect Autumn ankle boot.
Well, perfect to team with skirts and dresses in place of ballet flats or trainers which have been my other options for almost a year now.
The Pretty Dandy boot by Schmoove Heroine at Sarenza is just one of a selection of beautiful trans-seasonal pieces. I’m not yet ready to commit to proper stompy, weather proof boots. I want something a bit daintier and a bit lighter and this fit the bill nicely.
Do you believe in trans-seasonal footwear? Or is it flipflops until frost arrives thick on the ground?
