Sarenza Shoe(s) of the Week

This week I just couldn’t settle on ONE shoe for my Sarenza shoe of the week, so I compromised and decided on two. The pairs I’m lusting over couldn’t be more different, either…my shoe tastes swing from chalk to cheese at the moment.

Latinas Lezuza in Coral are a bit of a bargain at £42.50 and scream “holiday in the sun” to me. If there weren’t too many days and not enough pennies before payday they would be accompanying me to Spain (3 weeks 4 days!)

On the other end of the price and style spectrum are the rather amazing Cool by Ash (rose) at £166.70. My black hi-top wedges have clearly awakened something in me as prior to that I couldn’t see myself wearing a wedge at all!

What’s on your shoe radar lately? Do you find your taste varies? I used to err on the typically girly side and never wore trainers,
now you’re just as likely to find me in Converse or Toms as you are something truly fabulous!

Black and White.

Another prime example of dressing for this wonderful weather; MotelRocks.com Jordan Skinny Jeans, H&M shirt and Shoes c/o Spy Love Buy

Weather aside yesterday was a much needed girly shopping session with three of my bestest friends. Not an awful lot was purchased to be honest; it’s was hard, even with the sales, to justify buying anything vaguely summery when it was pouring rain and freezing cold outside, but it was time well spent…you can’t put a price on good friends.

What did you get up to yesterday?

Daisy Chain Dreaming: Just about Everything at Jules B

As if going out for a girly shopping trip with friends today wasn’t enough retail therapy, I also spent my morning pursing an often overlooked but firmly on my radar favourite;
Jules B. If I wasn’t below even a Primark sale budget at the moment, this is absolutley where I would be doing my Summer Shopping (although I still have last years new purchases waiting to be worn thanks to the crappy weather). Topping my wishlist right now…

1. Nicole Farhi Leather Strap Wedges; £184.24- saving £150 on original price!

2. Marc by Marc Jacobs pleated silk heart dress; £233.74 reduced from £424.99 (almost makes it a bargain, right?)

3. Katerina Psoma’s ultimate Vintage Elements statement necklace. A worthy investment at £126.74…if I had the pennies this would be mine. LOVE.

4. Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Hillier bag, £349.99. After professing my love for my first Marc by Marc Jacobs earlier today, I can testify that the bags are worth every penny…mine however was a sales purchase at £180!

5. Every blogger and their dog loves these Michael Kors rose gold watches…at £198.99 for the small version, I’m not ashamed to say I WANT ONE!

Let’s hope I picked the right numbers for the lottery tonight eh?

what’s in my bag?

I’ve noticed quite a few of these posts pop up on my google reader lately, so thought I may as well jump on board the bandwagon; if nothing else it gave me a kick up the bum to sort out the contents of my bag!

1. The Bag- Marc by Marc Jacobs, my best impulse/sales purchase to date. I’ve never used a bag for so long without getting fed up by it or destroying it.

2. Birds Eye View

3. The Essentials- Ipod (not sure where the ear buds are!), Wallet (Modalu), ancient Blackberry, Filofax (a.k.a. my brain), note book, little purse where I keep a mini first aid kit of plasters and pain killers.

4. The Mess- Spare tourniquet in case I don’t have my old faithful Daisy one on my at work and I’m needed to take bloods, Various sweetners/mints/tictacs (there is usually some gum and a cereal bar or two as well!), Business Card holder, Bunny coin purse, Keys (home and work), Memory stick (my other brain), MAC studiofix powder foundation, Revlon lipbutter and MAC tinted lip conditioner, mini perfume.

It never really changes, and I could probably stand to be a bit more organised. If I’m going to be out all day/travelling I change things round and swap my filofax for a book or magazine…sometimes I change my bag over for a day or so, but it always comes back to this one.

What’s in YOUR bag?

Ethically Amazing; Lilygrace Originals

Lilygrace Originals – Vintage Style Jewellery with a Modern Twist:

The magical sparkle of vintage rhinestones and English cut glass beads, the nostalgic charm of images from days gone by and classic favourites like freshwater pearls, lovingly combined into stunning and modern pieces of wearable art to treasure forever.

A piece of jewellery from Lilygrace Originals is sure to earn you countless compliments and start conversations where ever you wear it.  The current range includes ‘Mirror Mirror Earrings’, a beautiful pair of cameo earrings featuring a vintage image of a 1940’s pin up girl on an antique filigree base setting decorated with rhinestones from which hangs hand modelled roses and antique glass beads. The range also features colourful pieces inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead for a glamorous and eye catching style statement.

The Lilygrace Originals collection features statement jewellery, handmade in the UK by Hazel Mathiot, a fine artist based in Wiltshire. Each piece is one of a kind, offering a welcome alternative to the mass produced jewellery available from most retailers.  The jewellery stylishly combines old and new with a variety of upcycled vintage finds set with new materials including hand modelled polymer clay shapes and antiqued brass chains.
Lilygrace Originals Jewellery is available fromwww.lilygraceoriginals.com. Each piece is either one of a kind, or a very limited edition. Commissions are also available for a particular outfit or a special occasion, in a choice of colours and stones.

I’m actually lacking the words to describe just how incredible these pieces are. I may not wear it often, but I have a weakness for statement jewellery and have quite a collection hidden away. Once I’m back from Spain I shall be saving hard for a pair of Lilygrace earrings; I think my favourite is the Ivory Rose and Swallow Hoops (£38) and I also quite fancy The Bluebirds of Happiness necklace, although at £75 this is one for the (ssh) Christmas list!
