what Motel did next…

Fashion seasons never fail to confuse me (although this year they seem quite apt)…thinking of Autumn/Winter in July? Normally I’d hit the delete button as look books fly in, but no more…
just take a look at what MotelRocks.com has in store for us; I am LOVING all the leopard print, especially those shorts (here’s hoping they come with the gorgeous model’s legs, too!) and the retro Americana feel to the photos.

There’s also an wonderfully catchy video, to really get you in the mood…

I never thought I’d be saying this mid-summer, but please be over now, I have new-season shopping to do!

the lounger

New Look tee, Primark trousers, Dune via Sarenza shoes.

I bought these trousers as a bit of a joke last summer, seduced by the bargain basement price I didn’t really expect to wear them, and especially not for anything other than sleeping in…
but whatever,
sometimes it’s fun to throw caution to the wind and indulge in a rare morning off by wearing the comfiest, baggiest trousers known to mankind and enjoy not having to be anywhere or do anything.

I’m once again running short on inspiration on what to wear, especially for work. I’ve said before that my office is one of those no man lands when it comes to temperature, you almost have to disregard what is going on outside and dress for whatever you are least expecting!

The latest little shop on the internet to find it’s way on to my lust-list is Kissing in Traffic, a Camden based fashion label specialising in distressed denim shorts, quirky bow ties and an array of necklaces and belts.

Run by fashion graduates full of creativity, Kissing in Traffic is available to buy online at ASOS boutique

Shorts will cost you £35, whilst necklaces, brooches and collars start at £8. A t-shirt is a bargain at £16.

I’d love to know what you think,

I quite fancy one of the collars for brightening up some basics.

And this is what the weather has bought me too, dragging out a winter work dress for what was my Monday afternoon shift. I hate to bang on about it but this summer has been SUCH a dissapointment..as has this year in general actually,

I thought I’d pop in this photo of Mae, too, as she adds sunshine to any day! It feels like we’ve had her forever now…so utterly different to Flash, but equally as abnormal!

strawberry fields

I’ve known (in the blogging sense) Charlotte, creator of Strawberry Fields jewellery for quite some time now through her blog and I was delighted when she started selling her creations, and even more delighted when she offered to send me a few pieces!

Everything in Charlotte’s shop is handmade, quirky and affordable; from the wooden flower earrings to my personal favourite Mad Hatter Brooch.
Other notable favourites are the pastel blue mix knitted collar, the disney princess jigsaw necklaces…and well, just about everything actually.
