A Missguided Obsession

When the gorgeous Sara at Missguided e-mailed me to alert me of their stunning debut TV ad I was prompted to take a look at the latest offerings from the online shop.

Previously when I’ve browsed there, I’ve found maybe one or two things I’ve liked…but right now, damn. Missguided are killing it. Just a brief selection of things I covet…

All at prices that make it ever more tempting!

As for the TV ad…well, simply stunning, I think!

Anyone else a Missguided fan? What have you bought there lately, or what do you plan to buy?

Diet Coke Does it Again

Moving on from previous collaborations with Nails Inc, Diet Coke have teamed up with Models Own to bring out a range of exclusive lipglosses.

“Get ready to paint your lips plum, red, pink or nude. All you have to do to get your hands on one, absolutely free, is pick up two 500ml bottles of Diet Coke in one transaction at selected Boots stores nationwide from 16th November to 27th December. With each lipgloss worth up to £6, pick up the entire Diet Coke Christmas Kisses Collection for the ultimate party season accessory, perfect for girls who Love it Light.”

Pick from;

Golden Nude, Pure Plum, Lacquer Red and Glossy Pink….or get all four! I always take advantage of these offers, Diet Coke is usually on some kind of promotion so you can end up with all four glosses for less than a tenner. Yep. I really do get through that much Diet Coke I consider it a bargain!

Fabulous Friday; Pure Collection

I seem to be all about the luxury at the moment, glitter, diamonds and now…cashmere. I recently clapped eyes on what I think is the perfect Cashmere Sweater Dress from Pure Collection and despite being out of my current price range, I want want want it…

The dress, which also comes in grey costs £179 which, this far in to the month is just eye-watering…but then can you really go wrong with such a classic dress? Perfect for layering with woolen tights and chunky boots..or something a bit smarter to keep warm at work. The shape and colours are timeless and…do I need to go on? I’ve talked myself in to a full scale obsession!

And seeing as I seem to be compiling a massive wish-list here, I’ll just tag on a few more things I adore from the Pure Collection website!

…and suddenly, my Mum’s ideas about matchmaking me with a young, rich and single doctor don’t seem so daft!

Hello Pretty: Doris Designs

My inbox is a constant source of wishlist increasing e-mails. Last week one popped up from Doris Designs and despite never having owned one in my life, I had a sudden lusting for a petticoat a big, ballerina style petticoat.

Doris Designs launches petticoat skirts for adults and children.
They will get your heartbeat running away and are quite unlike anything you would find on the high street. Based on the 50s style petticoat, but with a twist. Each adult skirt is made of over 36 meters of light chiffon, giving them a beautiful bounce and a soft feel against the skin.

Adults come in 18” and 21” length with an elasticated waistband to suit all sizes as well as all sizes for the young ones. Available in a range of vintage colours through to more bold shades, such as hot pink.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, now is the perfect time to wear it pink!

The adult shorter length petticoats cost £63 and the longer length cost £65. Children’s designs start at £35.

Available at dorisdesigns.co.uk

These make me wish I had stuck with the ballet lessons when I was younger (I was blessed with the grace of an Elephant!)

How would you wear a petticoat?

Don’t Ask Me

Got a burning question? Want to know how to bake your favourite cake, how to stop your nails splitting or need some relationship advice?

Well, don’t come to me for advice! I’m hopeless. Thankfully we have the Internet, and more specifically Top Tips for Girls which has recently re-launched with a brand new look, blog and fantastic competitions (you can currently win tickets to BINTM Live)

“Top Tips for Girls (TopTipsForGirls.com), the website where women and girls of all ages ask
and receive advice on everything, from how to get pre-approval for a first time home loan to
how to tame a rogue eyebrow, is back online.

The site, which has over 30,000 users, was originally founded four years ago by Kate
Reardon, editor of Tatler magazine. Now, in a joint venture between Reardon and creative
agency, (Beta), TopTipsForGirls.com is online again after a few months’ break.

Roni Dutta has been appointed the site’s new Editor. Formerly editor-in-chief of
iVillage.co.uk, Dutta has also written for bbc.co.uk, The Independent, The Mirror and The
Times Online. She was awarded the Johnson & Johnson award for Best Online Beauty
Journalist in 2008.

“I’m delighted to be working with TopTipsForGirls.com. The fantastic thing about the site
is that it’s a reflection of the very natural way women help each other out in real life – it’s
genuine, heartfelt, and, vitally, very funny .” Said Dutta.

“I’ve got some big, not to mention tremendously stylish, boots to fill, but I’m confident that
together with our loyal community of tipsters we can make TopTipsForGirls.com bigger,
better and even more brilliant. I just can’t wait to get started!”

TopTipsForGirls.com allows women to receive and share tips and advice on relationships,
sex, health, style, beauty, hair, home, gardening, cooking, travel, money, work and pets.
Over the coming months the site will undergo a number of changes, including the addition
of video content, new functionality and a stylish re-design.”

I remember being aware of the site when it first launched, but never really paid it much attention as it wasn’t the easiest, or user friendly site to use. Over the weekend I’ve enjoyed browsing the site (where you can also submit your top tips) and reading the blog articles. I’ve signed up for the newsletter and daily top tip and look forward to some pearls of wisdom coming my way!
