Lust List: Kristina Goes West
One of the major up-sides to blogging is discovering sites and brands you would otherwise never know about. Kristina Goes West is one such site, I was first alerted to it after a twitter follow led to me taking a peek and liking what I saw. An e-mail or two later from Kristina and a bit of an education about what the site stands for and we get this here blog post.
The online boutique is already over a year old but has recently relaunched; It is the first online boutique to showcase the best established and up-and-coming designers from the Baltic region which is bursting with fresh and daring fashion designers. Kristina Goes West is passionate about getting people to think about Baltic fashion in a new light and I think that when you take a look at the website you will view it as mission accomplished!
All of the items on the website have been selected especially to maintain the Nordic spirit and banish the stereotypes, if you’re looking for an off the wall unique or bespoke piece I strongly suggest you pay a visit. To help showcase what is on offer I’d like to share the “Dark Snow Queen” outfit that features some of my favourite pieces.
Kristina Goes West probably isn’t somewhere you are going to visit for your everyday wear but just look at how striking everything is! I have a major softspot for quirky rings and the amber beauty shown above at £40 is fitting the bill perfectly! If I had unlimited funds the coat would already be winging it’s way to me and please, just don’t get me started on how much I love the bags. For me the only thing the website is lacking is some killer shoes!
What sites has blogging introduced you to? Take a little peek at Kristina Goes West and tell me what YOU think…

Be Savings Savvy with Sales Gossip
“SalesGossip.co.uk, is a revolutionary new website that has launched today. It locates and curates every fashion and beauty sale on the high street and online, allowing ‘bargainistas’ to search and discover high street sales online and on their mobile. This is the first ever tool that collects all information about sales direct from both high street and online retailers and allows shoppers to search and discover the sales according to their location, the brands they love or the outfits they are hunting for”.
I’m all for saving money and since the launch e-mail arrived in my inbox yesterday I have been exploring the site and seeing just how user-friendly it is. Some sales/discount sites are just full of expired offers and dull design but Sales Gossip not only looks sleek but is full of relevant information sorted neatly into categories which make searching super easy; fashion, beauty, men’s, kids, sample sales and even student discount are easily located on the site and although the location coverage doesn’t include all of the major shopping destinations at present, for those who live near the ones that ARE covered then this is a must-use function!
My top picks of the current sales are…

Save 20% at boohoo.com

Student discount and money off at Matalan
![]() |
20% off at Selfridges

Save 10% at Swarovski
I’d love to hear what you think of the site and what bargains you have snagged. I’m really impressed with what I have seen so far, the only downside being how much more tempting it is to shop!

Oh Deer
On my last foray in to the outside world I couldn’t resist having a little spend on some pick me up treats. I am meant to be on a shoe ban but these Lace up Brogue Creepers were only £19.99 in New Look and are really comfortable and supportive of my foot for when I am allowed to weight bear on it again! Medicinal shoes, that’s all the excuse I needed!
I wore them on Sunday despite being practically housebound with my trusty Oasis jeans and this Cute Deer Top from Asda which was a present from my Mum. Whilst in Asda I also picked up this bargainous Pink Coat which cost all of £19.99 and is both well fitting and well made. Well done Asda, well done!
Day three of being housebound awaits. I have a list of things I can do sitting down, but none of the appeal. What I want is fresh air and to be in work (yes, really!) but alas…it’s time I put myself first and actually let the foot heal.
What do you do when your stuck inside? And what have you been buying lately?
