strawberry fields

Dress, Missguided. Tights, Primark. Converse c/o Sarenza. All jewellery c/o Strawberry Fields

I’ve known (in the blogging sense) Charlotte, creator of Strawberry Fields jewellery for quite some time now through her blog and I was delighted when she started selling her creations, and even more delighted when she offered to send me a few pieces!

Everything in Charlotte’s shop is handmade, quirky and affordable; from the wooden flower earrings to my personal favourite Mad Hatter Brooch.
Other notable favourites are the pastel blue mix knitted collar, the disney princess jigsaw necklaces…and well, just about everything actually.

Charlotte is currently having a sale, too, to make room for exciting new stock so there really is no better time to have a browse of her shop…she is kindly offering 10% off at the checkout with the code DAISYCHAIN and it is worth ordering for her adorable packaging alone!

You can find out more/stalk Charlotte on twitter, on tumblr or at her blog. She is a total sweetheart so do say hello,
and let me know what you buy!

Ethically Amazing; Lilygrace Originals

Lilygrace Originals – Vintage Style Jewellery with a Modern Twist:

The magical sparkle of vintage rhinestones and English cut glass beads, the nostalgic charm of images from days gone by and classic favourites like freshwater pearls, lovingly combined into stunning and modern pieces of wearable art to treasure forever.

A piece of jewellery from Lilygrace Originals is sure to earn you countless compliments and start conversations where ever you wear it.  The current range includes ‘Mirror Mirror Earrings’, a beautiful pair of cameo earrings featuring a vintage image of a 1940’s pin up girl on an antique filigree base setting decorated with rhinestones from which hangs hand modelled roses and antique glass beads. The range also features colourful pieces inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead for a glamorous and eye catching style statement.

The Lilygrace Originals collection features statement jewellery, handmade in the UK by Hazel Mathiot, a fine artist based in Wiltshire. Each piece is one of a kind, offering a welcome alternative to the mass produced jewellery available from most retailers.  The jewellery stylishly combines old and new with a variety of upcycled vintage finds set with new materials including hand modelled polymer clay shapes and antiqued brass chains.
Lilygrace Originals Jewellery is available fromwww.lilygraceoriginals.com. Each piece is either one of a kind, or a very limited edition. Commissions are also available for a particular outfit or a special occasion, in a choice of colours and stones.

I’m actually lacking the words to describe just how incredible these pieces are. I may not wear it often, but I have a weakness for statement jewellery and have quite a collection hidden away. Once I’m back from Spain I shall be saving hard for a pair of Lilygrace earrings; I think my favourite is the Ivory Rose and Swallow Hoops (£38) and I also quite fancy The Bluebirds of Happiness necklace, although at £75 this is one for the (ssh) Christmas list!

Lucky

It’s always lovely to get a surprise in the post, especially when it comes as prettily packaged as this Spinning Ring from Timothy Roe
I love rings and I am slowly but surely amassing quite a collection of them (the new tights?!) and this four leaf clover fits in perfectly with my preferred jewellery style.

I have a massive wishlist for the website, next on my list are the glitter heart, star and humming designs. At £19 each these are an affordable way to build up a jewellery collection and can be worn alone or stacked together. I also think they’d make a lovely gift for one of your best friends…*hints for Christmas guys!*

Which design do you like?
Where do you get your rings from?

You can’t beat Timothy Roe for Bespoke Jewellery in my book.

love to shine

Bangles c/o Love to Shine, Daisy Dress from Missguided, Tights from Dorothy Perkins, Dr Martens c/o Sarenza.

When I saw this dress on Missguided last week I couldn’t resist. I’m a sucker for all things Daisy print and at £19.99 it was a bit of a bargain! I was really surprised at how decent the length was, too…often I order dresses online only to find they are more suitable as a top.
Went a bit all out on the colour yesterday; I’m a bit carried away with brights this Summer! The second bank holiday saw a trip to Matalan and coffee with my best friend and Grandad. Matalan has some amazing things in right now; I got a really lovely pink skirt and a massive shopping list for when things are in stock in my size.

I’d also like to introduce you to Love to Shine jewellery who sent me these ultra summery bangles; perfect for my first holiday in years!
Offering pieces that range from retro to traditional at great prices, this is a one stop shop for your jewellery needs!

Well, back to work and the real world today. Working in a doctors surgery, sometimes it’s the shortest weeks that feel like the longest with the mad panic over appointments and prescriptions!

Ah well,
not long till the next weekend…

Miss Fluff

The title of this post doesn’t refer directly to Mae (although one could call her Miss Fluff too) but to the gorgeous necklace I’m sporting, kindly gifted to be by the talented Sare at Miss Fluff Jewellery. A graduate of London College of Fashion, and leather jewellery designer, Sare has an Etsy shop jam packed full of beautiful leather pieces at surprisingly affordable prices…

Cherry Blossom Bouquet, £22

My necklace is Pink and White Blossoms and sells at £14. I teamed it with a Primark jumper, New Look skirt and ever faithful Yull chelsea boots.

What’s your favourite piece from Sare’s shop? It’d be rude not to treat yourself to it when she’s offering my blog readers a fantastic 15% off when they use the code DAISYCHAIN15 at checkout! Let me know what you buy!
