Stratford; The Olympic Heel from Yull

Summer 2012 is a chance to celebrate all things British. With this in mind Yull have created ‘Stratford’ inspired by the London 2012 Olympics. Whilst retaining the understated and classic elegance of Yull designs, the Stratford incorporates a fun and patriotic twist.

Ensuring you step out in style for cultural and sporting events this summer 2012, the ‘Stratford’ is bright and contains the colours of the Olympic rings. They brighten up any outfit or ‘British summer’ day! Ideal for the vast array of summer events, they have a heel height of 3.5 inches so you can enjoy them comfortably all day long.

Made from soft calf leather and priced at £110, the ’Stratford’ shoes mark an incredible occasion and are available to purchase at www.yull.co.uk in addition to various independent retailers across the UK.

Founder and designer, Sarah Watkinson-Yull launched the brand in March 2011 at the age of 21 having completed her studies at Phillip Green’s Fashion Retail Academy. With support from The Princes Trust and the British Footwear Association, Sarah is proud to have moved all production to Britain. She says ‘Yull is a British brand and I am delighted that with the help of the Prince’s Trust, Yull is now able to be made in Britain.’

I’ve long been a supporter of Yull shoes and own two pairs of the heels and my beloved Chelsea Boots, now I’m sharing this fantastic chance to own a pair of your own

YULL shoes; Made in England

Long time blog readers will know how much I champion Sarah, the brains and beauty behind shoe label Yull; I currently own two pairs- Chelsea and Primrose and I can’t speak highly enough of the design and craftmanship.

Sarah got in touch the other day to let me know that Yull is the only independent now manufacturing ladies’ high heels in the UK, which is really quite incredible! The photos above showcase a few of the newest styles from Yull, but I decided against sharing them all…because that means you’ll have to wait and take a look yourself!
The shoes are also being made as small as a 2.5 now for you petite ladies out there; I know this will be good news for some!

Watch a Yull shoe being made!

What do you think folks? Have I sold you on the wonder of these shoes yet? I really can’t speak highly enough, and yes, they may be more expensive than popping along to the highstreet, but I can personally vouch for the comfort and longevity of these shoes; coupled with the fact they are made with love and care!

Happy Saturday folks, enjoy your weekend

((and please note Sarah did not pay/bribe/maim/torture me in to writing this post. I just love her, and her brand a lot more than is healthy))

Another Matalan dress (purchased some weeks ago and sort of forgotten about) worn with my Yull Chelsea boots that rarely leave my feet these days. Also pictured; early morning dance in the kitchen and the standard dodgy lighting that I work so well!

Not much else to say, really, other than HAPPY MID-WEEK…hang on in there, it’s almost over!

Boots made for Walking

At the start of September I blogged about the “coming soon” limited edition boots from Yull. Well, the wait is over! I got home from work yesterday to find the arrival of my Chelsea boots and any doubts I had about whether I needed these or not were erased.
Say hello to the perfect flat boot. I’m so glad I went against my conscience and ordered a pair of these. They fit (true to size) like a dream and are so buttery soft. I really must resist ordering Fulham, too…that would just be greedy, right?

Happy Saturday folks,
remember today is the last day to win with Joe Browns!

Coming soon from Yull

Back in June (which feels like a lifetime ago now) I posted about Yull shoes. As soon as the lovely Sarah e-mailed me about the latest offerings any resolve I may have had about not buying any more shoes (for a while) went straight out the window…

Say hello to the Chelsea and Fulham boots, available from September 16th

Yull’s take on the classic Chelsea boot. Perfect for a trip down the King’s Road or whilst popping out to the
grocers. Formal, yet Casual. Made with Calf’s leather lining and outsole with a rubber sole, retailing

at £90 and there are only 70 pairs in the country! I declare them the perfect English winter accessory. And a black pair has my name on it!
For more information on Yull take a look at the website, drool over the amazing shoes and get set to countdown to the 16th! I can safely vouch for the quality of Yull shoes as I own a pair of the Primrose shoes. My feet cannot wait for the latest addition!
What do you think? Are you a Chelsea boot fan? Will you be hoping to get one of the 70 pairs? I’m pretty sure new boots make the Winter more acceptable (though I will shed a little tear when I shortly pack away Summer shoes).
