Designer Dreams- the pink coat

A few posts ago I featured THE pink coat by Marks and Spencer but now I appear to have taken my lusting one stage further by letting myself browse on my-wardrobe.com
Behold this beauty from Valentino Red- a snip at £550, who needs to eat/pay bills/have a life any way?

I could never bring myself to spend that kind of money on an item of clothing, even if it is beautiful outerwear and even if I could afford it
but a girl needs to be able to dream every now and again right?
I have in fact picked up the perfect grey coat in Next this year. My mission for my Winter coat took far less effort than ever before, there are SO many gorgeous pieces on the highstreet at the moment.

Stylish Plus Wishlist

In lieu of feeling like posting outfits I appear to have come up with rather a lot of wishlists this week,
the latest being from new to me website Stylish Plus– a real mis-mash of clothes, shoes and accessories, some of which are just downright gorgeous.
I’ve stuck with my current theme of (mostly) black and white and I’m seriously coveting these gems.
The cat lady in me couldn’t resist this tee

A perfect cover up for the cooler, but not freezing days

I really love how classy and timeless this 2 in 1 dress is (and a bargain too!)

Clearly I’m a sucker for the cute factor!

If I could wear heels these ankle boots would be on their way to me right now.

I just loved how asymmetric this jacket is, I’d wear it till it fell apart.

I love finding gems like this on the internet, it’s one of those websites where you really have to trawl through- perfect when you have time on your hands (or if you don’t!)
Take a look and let me know what your picks would be.
And have a good weekend!

I was compensated for this post.

ultimate daisy chain dreaming- the M&S pink coat

*Swoon*
Isn’t it gorgeous? This is the coat that has had fashion pulses racing since the press days, and it’s from good old Marks and Spencer of all places.
M&S collection Duster coat is sold out almost everywhere in the beautiful Blush Pink (other colours are still available), which isn’t a surprise given it’s only £85…a very reasonable price as far as a winter coat is concerned.
I’m in the market for a new winter coat and this is a strong contender,
providing I can source one, of course. No other colour will do for me. It’s Blush Pink or look elsewhere I’m afraid!
What’s got your heart racing this season?

Denim Dreams

I lived in jeans and denim as a teenager, I rarely wore anything but baggy, shapeless numbers or outrageous flares.
During the first couple of years of my twenties I rebelled and refused to wear jeans in any shape or style, or if I did it was because I had nothing else clean. I don’t know why I went off it in such an extreme way but all of a sudden denim didn’t appeal.
Now I’m older, more confident in my style and how I look and I find myself browsing jeans on a regular basis, dreaming of finding the perfect skinny fit or just baggy enough boyfriend style.
I’m on a tight budget, my most recent purchase was a pair of super skinnies from Primark costing a mere £9. They fit nice now but I don’t have high hopes for how long that’ll last. I think the most expensive pair of jeans I own come from Oasis and even then they were under the £50 mark.
With my mission to become healthier well under way I’ve decided that when my body reaches where it needs to be I’m going to splurge on some decent jeans, make the investment and wear them with pride. The right pair of jeans can take you seamlessly from day to night and will never lose their shape or go out of style.
This weekend I spent a while persuing the Trilogy stores website and came up with this little wishlist, which whilst not all denim or jeans does include some investment buys from denim geniuses Current Elliot and fashion favourite Rag and Bone jeans.
What are people’s thoughts on jeans? Something to invest in or a more throwaway fashion?
If you’ve taken the plunge and invested I’d love to know which brands you went for and how it felt to spend so much.
Oh, and if anyone has any denim disasters to share- I’m all for being amused!

Fashion Focused

I’ve decided that half my wardrobe woes come from the fact I’m too all over the place with my style. Therefore for A/W I’m going to focus on one trend and make that the majority of my purchases (as few or as many as they may be) Going against my usual floral, bright, patterned randomness I’ve actually decided to focus on the dark side and toughen up. Black, white, textures and chunky boots are what I’ve craving- with the odd random piece of girliness thrown in for good measure as we all know I get distracted. I’ve been browsing online for inspiration and have stumbled across Javelin Online. I’ve put together a teensy wishlist showcasing some of my current cravings from two of my most lusted after brands.

Vero Moda are channeling biker chic all the way- it seems to be a common theme for them and I have no complaints. Somehow a pair of leggings has made it on to my lust list, as well as this fantastic jacket and classic knit (which should toughen up nicely).

No wish list of mine would be complete without a dress or two and Javelin have a gorgeous range of Ted Baker Dresses online.
I love the bottle green one simply because it’s an alternative to black. That and the amount of potential it has to be dressed up and accessorised for many a night out.
If I was a rich girl I’d be splashing out on this floral number to be worn with chunky boots and a tough jacket for a casual day at work or a day out with friends/family. I love me some florals and I love the flattering shape of this dress.

What trends to you plan to wear next season? I’ve never actually picked anything before, but I’m hoping a more focused approach to my wardrobe will help me feel more put together and less like a child playing dress up.
