Home&Beauty- Luxury Bathroom Wish List

Well look at me on a roll with the beauty posts, although this one also includes a little bit of my other current non-fashion obsession- interiors. I’m spending an unhealthy amount of time browsing online for both homewares/furniture as well as beauty products, both of which are so far outside of my current budget I don’t know why I do it to myself.
I’ve always wanted an illuminated bathroom mirror, I’ve used them in hotels and they are brilliant for makeup application and general beautification. Right now I’m loving the idea of having a bathroom cabinet that doubles up as an illuminated mirror, such as this HIB Tissano Silver Illuminated Bathroom Cabinet which would look pretty snazzy in any bathroom worth bathing in and is space saving too as it’s both storage and functional
The Space.NK. website has become a bit of an unhealthy obsession of late. My recent foray in to some higher end beauty and skin products has left me wanting more and everything in the images above comes from here (hover over the images for details of each product). Haircare is usually an area I prefer to save in, having picked up some recent gems in 99p shops but my hair is feeling a bit battered lately and not looking it’s best since switching from red to purple so in an ideal world I’d be investing in something a bit more luxurious for it.
I’ve fallen out of the habit of long, luxurious soaks in the bath, having had a bad back for months and months they have become purely functional but I’m now finding myself craving an hour of peace and quiet with candles burning and a good book, leaving me feeling fragrant and refreshed. I’ve used Laura Mercier makeup in the past and loved it so I have pretty high hopes that gorgeous looking bath and shower products are to the same high standard.
Let me know if you’ve used any of the products I’ve featured, or what others I should be dreaming of owning, maybe later in the year I might be enjoying pampering myself with some of them- the cabinet however will have to wait for some time yet!

Wish List- Jewellery World

So yesterday I featured the lovely ring I was sent from Jewellery World whilst mentioning how I was moving away from my usual silver jewellery style a bit and veering towards delicate gold pieces. I thought it a bit cruel to only feature the one ring when there are so many other beautiful pieces available on the website- and with Mother’s Day fast approaching it might give you some inspiration for a gift for your Mum too!
First up we have the seriously statement 9ct Gold Sapphire and Diamond Panther Pendant which I seriously love. It’s not the most delicate of pieces so I have totally contradicted myself but this would be so fierce with a plain tee for the Summer. Next up is a possible gift for Mums; the 9ct Gold CZ Round Stud Earrings which are such a classic. I always feel I have too many ear piercings to pull this style off but I always admire them on other people.
Moving on to possibly my favourite piece in this wish list, this Rose Gold Amethyst and Diamond ring is a serious piece of finger decoration. I love the combination of colours and how it manages to be proper bling without looking too obvious (that made so much more sense in my head!) Another ring and I’m almost equally as smitten with this one. The Rose Quartz and CZ work so beautifully with the delicate gold banding, I love Rose Quartz, my second favourite next to Rubies and pink and gold is such a classic. Forever wishing I was rich!
Last but by no means least is the 9ct gold belly bar, this may seem like an odd thing to be lusting after but I’ve had my bellybutton pierced for a long time now- 12 years or something like that and I never change it. I’d really like a simple classic bar just so I know it’s there…I don’t want to be flashing midriff but I do love my piercing and want it to look pretty to me!
So there’s my little wish list and now it’s your turn- take a look on the website and let me know what’s caught your eye.

Flash Trash

It’s a little known fact that once upon a time I used to do some social media for jewellery mega site MyFlashTrash. This was way back in the days when the site was in it’s infancy and founder Amber Atherton hadn’t yet made her debut on Made in Chelsea (life before MIC? really?!)
Since then I’ve followed the site closely, watching it grow from strength to strength with a few new looks along the way. Last week the website was officially relaunched with an amazing new look and I have to say I’m in awe. There’s a fresh new look, trends galore and the most amazing array of jewellery from the affordable house brand “Flash Trash Girl” to the “in my dreams only” selection of the most unique and independent designers out there. I love discovering fresh jewellery talent and this is the place to see it at it’s best.
I’ve popped a little selection of my favourite products in to the post- hover over them to find out who they’re by so you can shop them for yourself. I was also very kindly sent a Flash Trash Girl necklace of my own which was instant love. Delicate layered chain with a teeny little sparkle and a cute little charm. It’s probably never going to be far from my neck over the summer, I love delicate gold jewellery against slightly tanned skin.
I highly recommend you take a look at the site for yourself- fellow jewellery addicts you know you want to! It’s amazing to see how something can grow over the years and it’s strange to think that way, way back I was a very small part of that.

Uptown Girl from Guess Jewellery

I think I’ve covered every release from Guess Jewellery over the last twelve months. I’ve never been quite so obsessed with a single brand before. Their Spring/Summer collection doesn’t let the side down, named Uptown Girl it’s full of covetable pieces featuring beautifully bright enamel details.
For this collection the classic Guess monogram has been given a creative twist. Each colour-way has been carefully paired with a complementing metal, think rhodium plating with turquoise accents for seaside coolness and rose gold teamed with soft white and beige for an elegant take.
As you might guess (sorry!) I wouldn’t say no to any of the collection buy my heart is well and truly set on one of the statement rings- I think the yellow gold with bright coral hues would be the perfect accessory to my Spring wardrobe.
Available from March prices range from £30 for the earrings up t0 £105 for the bangles. Available online or in retailers of Guess Jewellery- House of Fraser being the first that springs to mind.
Which piece and colour combination would you most like to welcome in Spring with?

Smiggled

I’ve always been a stationary geek; during my school days going shopping for a new pencil case and pens at the end of the school holidays was my favourite thing about going back to school, and when the craze took off I really was the girl with the most gel pens (my teachers were not impressed with my tendency to write in pastel pink).
Recently I was contacted about a company called Smiggle, an Australian brand taking root in the UK (you can click through to the Aussie site to see the full product range). To celebrate the launch of their first UK store opening in Westfield, Stratford I was sent a box of Smiggle goodness and it was just like Christmas all over again!
30 gel pens?! HELLO heaven. I apologies for the amateur scribblings, I was so excited to start using everything but I never did profess to be an artist. Neat handwriting (usually) is as far as I get on the artistic front. But still, what a package of joy and delight. I love the zippy pencil case, I’ve stuffed all my favourite pens in there- am I the only person who has a few pens reserved for “best?”.
I think it’s fair to say I’m a big fan of Smiggle- they have three more stores opening in the UK over the next month or so and I’m really hoping that they eventually decide to come to Bristol so I can go stationary shopping as often as I want…or at the very least launch as an online store. I’ve been having a browse on the Australian website and these pens as well as this iPad case feature high on my wish list.
Fellow stationary geeks, are you excited for the Smiggle?
