Happiness Boutique

Isn’t Happiness Boutique the cheeriest name for a shop ever? Having admired their wares on twitter over the last few months I was delighted and flattered when they got in touch with me asking if I’d like to pick a piece from their site. It wasn’t the easiest of jobs, with a website jam packed full of stunning vintage style clothing and accessories narrowing down choices was tough. In the end I settled on the most perfect little necklace and I couldn’t be happier with it.
I opted for this delicate golden daisy necklace because well, Daisies are my thing and as much as I love a good statement necklace I knew this would get a heck of a lot more wear. Given that this was sent from Germany it arrived incredibly quickly and in the sweetest packaging- I love it when a brand clearly takes pride in what they do.

If statement jewellery is more your thing then you’ll be spoilt for choice on the Happiness Boutique website, I’ve popped a few examples/some of my favourites below but feel free to let me know what you’re coveting the most in the comments…

Everything on the site is really reasonably priced and Happiness Boutique are determined to spread the smiles globally as they offer free shipping on all orders as well as a generous reward programme. This is one shop that makes me very happy indeed, I’m already planning another order.

Everyday Earrings from Pandora

Having multiple piercings in each ear can cause problems when it comes to shopping for earrings- there’s a fine line between looking cool and looking cluttered and gone are the days where I’m comfortable wearing elaborate chandelier styles like I did before I decided to go and get more holes punched in myself. I used to be known for my love of gaudy earrings, think “Pat Butcher” and you wouldn’t be far off the mark. These days I prefer something a little more subtle and for the longest time I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of every day studs for my first ear lobe piercings, something that won’t overshadow the others but also don’t vanish in to the background completely. It was The Jewel Hut who came to my rescue with the perfect pair from Pandora.

Dragonfly Studs c/o Pandora at The Jewel Hut

I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t get the Pandora hype when it first leapt on to the scene. It wasn’t until a few years later and I picked out my first bracelet- a pink leather one with a single charm that it started to grow on me. Over the last three years my collection has grown a lot, with another bracelet laden with charms, a ring and now these pretty little studs that fit perfectly in to my piercing parade.
I actually think Pandora jewellery is pretty well priced. For me it’s one of the few brands that doesn’t tarnish after continued wear (I appear to destroy silver jewellery) so paying £35 for a pair of earrings that lasts forever seems reasonable. The size of these is just right too, I’ll be popping a pair or two on my Christmas list this year for sure- I’ve got my eye on the little bow studs that match the ring Ben got me last year (could I drop a bigger hint?!)
Tell me about your Pandora collection, or suggest where I should get (ear) pierced next!

A Summer Holiday Wish List

Seeing as it now looks like I will be getting a holiday in the sun this year- albeit not until late September I’ve found myself more and more drawn to the “holiday” sections of my favourite retailers where I had previously ignored them so as not to torture myself. In reality I already have a perfectly adequate holiday wardrobe and can’t justify spending a fortune on things that will never see the light of day in the UK, but seeing how there is almost always a discount code available whenever you fancy a spree it’s becoming harder and harder to resist. Here’s what has currently caught my eye (this is a severely edited down wish list!)

Sandals | Suitcase | Mom Shorts | Crochet Shorts | Floral Sunnies | Unicorn Sliders | Beach Dress | Metallic Bikini | Fringed Bikini

Are there any items on this list you wish you were packing? What are your holiday essentials? Come to think of it, I could do with a new suitcase…

A Rainbow of Rings with Gemporia

I love jewellery (incase you missed the dedicated section of the blog) and I’m partial to a spot of colour so I though, hey, what better way to introduce new discovery Gemporia than with an entire rainbow of their glorious rings?
Red: I’m loving this Madagascan Ruby white gold ring, £239. Rubies were my Nan’s favourite and will always hold a special place in my heart so this beauty is worth splashing the cash on in my opinion.
Orange: I wasn’t aware an orange stone existed until I came across this Anahi Ametrine sterling silver ring, £84. I just love this subtle shade, perfect for showing off a summer outfit.
Yellow: I love the sunshine shade of this Amarelo Beryl sterling silver ring. At £48 it’s a fairly inexpensive way to add a unique but pretty twist to any outfit.
Green: Think green and you automatically think Emerald right? I know that’s what I did until I found this Tucson Green Flourite Ring for £46- saving you some pennies there! You can thank me later.
Blue: I LOVE the finish on this Blue Crackled Quartz ring. It has something a little bit mystic about it and the shade is so vibrant.
Indigo: Ok so it isn’t truly indigo but I wanted to make sure that this Rio Grande Amethyst ring got a feature as I think it’s stunning- I’ve always had a soft spot for Amethyst.
Violet: One for the pastel lovers (and another Amethyst has snuck it’s way in!) How pretty is this Rose De France ring? I think this is one of my favourite pieces I’ve featured in this post and quite affordable too at £36 (damn you spending ban!)
Wear the whole Rainbow! Can’t decide which colour you love best? Have it all with this Mercury Mystic Topaz number. It’s a shame they don’t have my size in stock (I’m one of them girls cursed with sausage fingers) as I’d be snapping this up right now!
Which one of these rings is your favourite? Spotted any other pieces you love on the Gemporia website?
