18.01 outfit+giveaway

Hello! Happy Monday, I hope everyone had a good weekend?

The slightly warmer weather has given me the oppurtunity to wear/road test one of the pairs of tights sent to me by Wickedelic. I will be writing a review once I’ve worn the second pair as well, I just wanted to show off how awesome they are!

I had to kick off my week with an early (well, 10am which is early for me!) doctors appointment, and couldn’t resist a little bit of retail therapy to make it worthwhile. I had an urge to buy shoes, and was prepared to come home with little money,
I kind of wanted heels, but currently walk better in flats…so when I saw these babies for £3 I snapped them up

They originally cost £20 in New Look.

Heels can wait, hopefully by summer my legs will be more forgiving!

Now, giveaway!
Here is (some) of what the winner will get; I will be adding a couple more bits over the course of this week to make sure there is an element of suprise

So far there is a cute cupcake lip gloss, a pack of four face masks, and ELF shimmering facial whip in spotlight which I raved about in my beauty post.

There are no rules, as such, all you need to do to enter is leave a comment on this post and include your favourite sweets/candy/chocolate (indulge my sweet tooth and nosy nature)
and a way I can contact you, either blog link, or e-mail address.

Giveaway is open to ALL readers, and will end on Monday 25th January at 1pm.
Good luck

04.01 outfits

Good morning, Happy Monday (first one of 2010!)
Does life get back to normal for everyone today? In terms of work, school etc? It does here, parents both back in work, and I have my first doctors appointment of the year *rolls eyes*

Here are two outfits, one from yesterday (note the thermal top) and today. It’s so cold out, dressing is definatley all about staying warm, rather than looking good. Doubling up on tights, or tights under leggings, camisoles, thermals and cardigans. I’ll be so happy when this cold snap is over, though it’s meant to get worse before it gets better. Any Aussie/NZ bloggers fancy adopting me?

I decided against making formal New Years resolutions as I can’t stand the sense of failure that comes with not achieving them, but I do have some goals in mind that I’d LIKE to make happen.

– cut down on smoking (more incentive in that prices of cigarettes have risen now VAT has returned to 17.5%!)
– read more…any book recs?
– spend more time on hair, nails etc. This is something I often neglect, deeming myself un-worthy (as silly as that may sound) but something that always makes me feel good when I make the effort. I’ve made good headway with this due to re-newed nail polish addiction!

Oh, and I may regret this, but I made a formspring, so ask away!

Goodbye 2009

As much as I would love to make this post a recap of the last 12 months, I’m working with dodgy internet, and up till half an hour ago didn’t expect to be able to get online at all.

Instead, I’d like to say THANK YOU, all of you, for the continued support and encouragement, both on my first blog (r.i.p.) and then, when I had to move over to this one.
It’s hard to sum up what blogging has done for me, without sounding like a complete loser, so I won’t,
I just want to make my gratitude known; for helping make 2009 a better year than I’ve had in a long while.

I will be back with an outfit post and my usual rubbish as soon as my internet allows me to make a more photo orientated post
(hopefully I can still comment on everyone’s as I have a quiet night ahead of me)

Whatever you do for this New Years Eve,
Be Happy, Be safe and HAVE FUN

See you on the other side

03.12 what I wore yesterday

Hello, how is December treating you? Good luck to those who have already entered the giveaway; and for those who haven’t, what are you waiting for? It’s open till Tuesday….go now!

Yesterday I experimented with something new-ish for me, in the form of black trousers. Borrowed from my Mum, these Zara trousers are so comfortable, I think they make a warmer change from dresses. As I didn’t have to leave the house, there was no need for thousands of layers, so I dug out a leopard print body I bought back in the Summer (oh how I miss the Summer!) and had yet to wear.

I have a busy few days coming up, with appointments, work and such, so outfit posts *might* become scarce, depending on how late I’m running and if I have time to take photos! We shall see though, I’m becoming very bored of my wardrobe lately, everything feels so…same-y. Must get more creative!

What do you do when you feel stuck in a wardrobe rut?

7 things you’ve always wanted to know about me.

I was tagged by fellow Bristol dweller Susan to reveal seven facts about myself. So here goes:

1. I LOVE Marmite. Yummy brown goo.

2. I talk. A lot. When there is no one else around to talk to, I have conversations with the cat.

3. Prawns scare me. Just the look of them gives me the creeps. I have never willingly/knowingly eaten them.

4. I don’t have a favourite colour.

5. I am currently addicted to mini smarties.

6. I have lived in the same town my whole life, and would love to relocate somewhere new, just for some variety.

7. I used to practise Judo. I got up to Green Belt then quit. I also used to kayack.

So there we go, I hope you are now enligtened.
Long time readers will know I always opt out of tagging specific people, and this is no exception.
Tag yourselves, or answer in comments. DO IT PEOPLE, I’m NOSY!

Thank you for the kind, sweet words on my last post
