OneByOne Jewellery

I expect most people know by now that I’m pretty obsessed with jewellery and like a magpie always seek out new and exciting brands to feature. Recently I was introduced to OneByOne Jewellery who specialise in unique silver pieces and when they invited me to pick out a couple of pieces I couldn’t resist.
The first piece I picked out was this simple but stunning Criss Cross Ring– I’ve always been intrigued by this style of ring and never really understood how they worked until now. This is such a minimalistic statement piece that I’ve been wearing non-stop alongside my usual finger adornments, there’s not much else I can say other than I love it!
The second piece I chose was another super simple but beautiful Horseshoe Necklace that hasn’t left my neck since it’s arrival. It’s a quirky take on the horseshoe necklaces I’ve seen up until now and it just sits perfectly and compliments any outfit.
Both pieces are reasonably priced for sterling silver- £30 for the criss cross ring and £36 for the horseshoe necklace. I can’t not mention the packaging either as it was so lovely and made opening the parcel an extra special treat- I almost didn’t want to open the boxes as it would spoil the pretty effect but I soon got over that!
OneByOne jewellery pride themselves on customer service and from the experience I’ve had I can see why. Granted I was sent these items for review and obviously they would want to impress but I get the impression from the e-mail exchanges I’ve had that they really do care and want to go that extra mile- a refreshing change in this day and age.
Which pieces have caught your eye from their website? I’ve got my eye on several more pieces and 100% would not hesitate in ordering from them in the future.

Another week, another watch

As the post title would suggest there has been another new arrival in my collection of watches. This time I was lucky enough to be sent a unisex style from Kartel Watches at WatchShop*, a brand that was entirely unknown to me but have won me over in an instant.
I was given free reign of the range to pick from and opted for the LEWIS style as I was charmed by the classic design, enhanced of course by a bit of rose gold.

I think the idea of a line of unisex watches is brilliant. Designed to perfectly suit both men and women there is something to suit all tastes and at a reasonable price point too (between £55.00 and £95.00 depending on the model). I admit that the design I chose was more on the feminine style, a deliberate decision on my part as I didn’t want to run the risk of Ben wandering off with my new baby…if the boot was on the other foot however, I’d likely have no qualms! I was a little worried that a unisex design would mean the watch would be quite big and chunky but actually it strikes the balance between dainty and bold very well and the size is perfect on my wrists. This watch has become my go-to for a work day as it adds a chic yet smart accessory to an office outfit without compromising on the style.

If the Shoe Fits with Long Tall Sally

It’s probably hard to believe now but when I was much younger I dreaded buying shoes. As a tall kid with large (not to mention wide) feet the only styles available to me were incredibly clumpy and supremely unflattering. These days it’s much easier to find pretty shoes in bigger sizes and one of my go to places is of course Long Tall Sally who stock a huge array of footwear in sizes 7-13.
From today Long Tall Sally are running a campaign called “If the Shoe Fits” and as part of that they invited me to pick out a pair of shoes to flatter larger feet from their high summer collection. It was no easy task thanks to the huge selection of on trend styles but in the end I settled on the perfect sandals which look and feel amazing whilst preventing a dreaded “clown feet” type feel which often happens with the more trend-led styles available on the high street.

Aren’t they beautiful? I love the lace up shoes that are everywhere right now but have found the flat versions do nothing for me as they elongate my feet and make me feel quite self conscious. The heel on these is perfect height for getting a little bit of boost without leaving me towering alarmingly high over everybody else, and they are quite honestly the comfiest sandals I have ever worn. I’m pretty sure I’ve found my shoe of the summer and it’s one I’ll have no qualms about wearing to anywhere and for everything!

To see more of the Long Tall Sally “If the Shoe Fits” campaign you can click here and make sure you check out my social media (twitter and instagram) to see the Spring “Shoefie” I snapped whilst taking these for a spin.

Fellow tall girls, which shoe styles do you find most flattering and are there any that you avoid like the plague? Usually for me a pointed toe is a no go zone…

White Daisies

You know me, I love my jewellery and discovering a new (or at least new to me) brand is something that fills me with excitement. I was recently introduced to White Daisies who specialise in bespoke 3D printed jewellery, designed by you and created by them. I’m all for something with a personal touch so when they offered to make me a piece I jumped at the chance of owning one of their handwritten name necklaces.
Whilst I didn’t choose this option you can actually have this made with your own handwriting for a truly personal touch which I think is a wonderful idea and something I haven’t come across before. The necklace is a lovely bold piece which still manages to remain delicate whilst making a bit of a statement and at £15 would make a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one (and of course for yourself!)

Also available are single initial necklaces, a personalised piece made from your favourite font, a hashtag, a bird and of course a namesake daisy. You can view the entire range in the shop and they couldn’t be lovelier or more helpful when placing your order.

So now, tell me…what’s your necklace going to say?

A Missguided Sale Wish List

Sale season is upon us again, although with so many going on at any one time it can be hard to keep track! Lately I’ve been using Love the Sales which is essentially a website that collates all of the sales from the UK’s biggest retailers in to one place. It was whilst browsing Love the Sales that I discovered that Missguided have a sale on and that actually there is rather a lot I wouldn’t mind owning from there right now, sod’s law as I’m not buying clothes at the moment but I thought I’d pop my top picks in a post for any one else who might be in the mood for a splurge!
The prices are crazy good, seriously bargain buys. I’m sorely tempted by the white midi pinafore dress which costs just £15 as well as the lace up flat shoes (just £8.00!) and the burgundy tie waist midi skirt for £7.00 which I think would look awesome with some white trainers and a fine knit top.

Anyway, I’m coming dangerously close to giving in and breaking my ban so I’ll leave this post here. Which sales have you been shopping and how do you keep track of them all?
