Alright, Petal?

Matalan skirt, New Look cardi, Primark jumper (£5! The proof will be in the washing), Superdrug tights and Clarks shoes c/o Sarenza

Worn for work on Wednesday (admin = more casual dressing) with some gorgeous earrings sent over from Lois at Petal Jewellery

Seriously…how pretty are these? Lois got in touch last week to introduce her shop, Petal and I fell in love with these sweet earrings, and even sweeter price of £4! There are some lovely pieces on her site, split in to three collections; Original, Fairytale and Prestige. The handmade beauties make an affordable and pretty treat for yourself, or for Christmas gifts, I’d be delighted to unwrap anything made by Lois!

What’s your favourite from Lois’ site?

How’s the Christmas shopping going?

Do you have any idea how wonderful you all are? Thank you so much for the supportive comments on yesterdays post. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway with Matalan.

A Make Up Post

I am by no means a beauty blogger, I’ll make that clear from the start! I love makeup, but over the last couple of years have spent less and less time trying new products and generally making much of an effort. Recently I’ve found myself getting sucked back in to it, and with all the buzz around a few new products, I found myself making a few lunchtime purchases.

Boots 17 Range is a brand I’ve grown up with, and I hate to admit, become rather snobbish about over the years. Recently they’ve hopped back on my radar with the release of the magnetic nail polishes (which I have, but haven’t reviewed) and the latest beauty buzz…BB cream. I was actually quite surprised to see my tiny, local Boots stock the BB cream; they so rarely get the new items in. They also had the new metallic eyeshadows, and with the lot being on 3 for 2 I grabbed the BB cream and two eyeshadows; the bronze and the silver.
I don’t know what I expected from the BB cream, especially compared to my usual foundation, but I do really like how it makes my skin look; smooth and clear. I picked up the light shade and due to my extreme pale-ness I half anticipated turning orange, but this wasn’t the case and I will be purchasing this again.
The metallic eyeshadows are lovely. Unlike so many cream eyeshadows they don’t crease or slide off during the day. I’ve been wearing the copper a lot, either on it’s own or as a base for powder eyeshadows. Again, I’d re-purchase and will probably pick up more shades.

A few other products I’ve been loving are L’oreals superliner crystal, which is my dream liquid eyeliner. The crystal effect is subtle; barely metallic and I love it for it’s slightly less harsh look.
Rimmel ScandalEyes has become my new HG mascara, the photos above showing just one coat of it. I’ve already bought a backup.
Blusher wise, I’m loving ELF studio cream blush in flirt. There was much outcry over the price of this, at £6.50 it’s one of their more expensive products, but it is hands down the most flattering cream blusher I have ever used!

What products are you loving right now? Which new releases must I try…and which should I ignore?

Friday! It’s taken it’s sweet time getting here this week, I can tell you! I’m guessing there is something in the water as work has been utter madness, beyond what it usually is…wow. Good thing I love my job!
This is what I wore for Thursday; River Island skirt, Peacocks tee and Poetic License shoes. The morning was so stressful that I was forced to pop down to Boots on my lunch break and pick up the new 17 range BB cream and two of the metallic cream eyeshadows. Oh, cruel world.

My week was brightened by the lovely Ashley at Cutey.co.uk sending me this gorgeous charm bracelet for consideration on the blog. Previously un-aware of the website, it’s now bookmarked in my favourites ready for a spot of Christmas shopping. The bracelet is lovely, my only complaint being the catch being really fiddly, and the prices are ACE at £12.99 for this style of bracelet (and a whole selection to choose from, to suit all tastes). What I really like is that they come in two sizes- 18cm and 20cm which eases the worry of it being too big, or too small for the person your buying for.

Well, given that it’s just gone 6am and this girl needs breakfast before work, the only thing left to do is wish everyone a SUPER HAPPY FRIDAY. Have a good one! xxx

A Visit from the Bra Fairy

The wonderful fairy over at Lingerie Please have paid me another visit! Back in September they granted my wish for bigger boobs by sending a gel padded bra,
This time, when they got in touch and asked if I’d like to review something else I said to surprise me with something pretty…and didn’t they do well?

I’m now the owner of the Gossard Desire bra. I’ve never owned anything by Gossard before, assuming that they didn’t cater for the A-cups among us,
but after conversation with Lingerie Please we decided to go down a back size and up a cup size. The result? Perfect fit (and an ego boost!)

“Inspired by gorgeous 1950’s tailoring the Desire Bra has underlying seduction and sensuality that will make you feel like a pin up super star from that decade. Fine details will keep appearing to you the more you look at this beautiful bra. Satin covered removable straps ensure you feel fabulous and make the bra very versatile. The hem is finished by a delicate scalloped edge and the gorgeous polka dot pattern brings a playful edge”

The website only shows the black version, but I was gifted the dusky pink which is just stunning. As ever the service from Lingerie Please was faultless…fast and prettily packaged.

Any other small chested girls have luck with Gossard? Or, anyone in general really! For me, it’s so nice to have grown up bras that don’t look like they come from the children’s section!

Who else loves Lingerie Please? All hail the bra fairy, I say!

Lucozade Sport Lite (Cherry)

A few weeks ago I recieved a parcel of the latest flavour from Lucozade’s Lite range; Cherry.

Ideal for people wanting to enjoy the lighter side of sport, Lucozade Sport Lite Cherry is the perfect companion for when you’re being active. Whether you love to run, enjoy  a gym class or swim, Lucozade Sport Lite Cherry will help keep you hydrated through your exercise.”

I should probably point out at this point that I am not a sporty person. Not right now, I was once upon a time, and once again hope to be, but right now the most energetic I get is walking around the City Centre on a shopping marathon.
Despite that, I was swayed by the blurb, specifically the “Containing vitamins B3 and B6 to help maintain energy and vitality and Vitamins B5 and B12 to help reduce tiredness and fatigue Lucozade Sport Lite has 70% less sugars than regular sports drinks delivering thirst quenching results in only 50 calories!” part. I don’t think sports drink have to be for sporty types,
Sometimes I could do with a boost of energy within the working day and I don’t always get a chance to make a cup of coffee, or sit and eat a decent snack so I hoped that Lucozade would provide a sort of “make do and mend” approach for those busier days.

And did it?
Well,
it’s hard to say. I’m not usually a big water drinker so it could have just been that I was better hydrated all round, but I did feel refreshed and more alert.

Bonus is it tastes better than water too! I love me some Cherry flavoured things and this tasted far less artificial than sports drinks of the past.

It’s not something I would drink on a daily basis, but if I know I have a busy day, or do ever get back to the gym then this would be my drink of choice.

Lucozade Sport Lite Cherry is available in 500ml singles and 4 x 500ml Multipacks.
