London Wishes

You have have noticed a pretty little banner in my side bar by now. It comes from two beautiful girls named Caithlin & Eva whom I have been e-mailing back and forwards with for some time now.

They own an online shop named London Wishes and I’m supporting them 100% on their adventures in pretty jewellery.

Here’s a bit about the girls from Eva herself;

Caithlin & me have been making little pieces of jewellery for years, at the beginning we gave them to our families and later on to friends. They have encouraged us to start London Wishes on line; but it wasn’t easy at all, it’s being hard but we firmly believe that “when there’s a will there’s a way”

London Wishes specializes in limited edition pieces and vintage inspired jewellery. We are from London & Madrid and love afternoon tea, our wellington boots for festivals, animals, nature and getting lost looking for special places.
Our pieces are inspired by romance, cupcakes and candles…
Welcome to our whimsical world”

The girls kindly sent me a package stuffed full of pretty things, I plan to show them individually as I wear them, but here is a sneak peek at what was inside.

My favourite piece has to be the bracelet, it is very apt don’t you think?

I’m wearing it today, along with a bargain outfit consisting of £5 flared jeans and a £3 vintage jumper (with a £1.99 New Look cami underneath…these are brilliant basics, I have several!)

I really am starting to appreciate jeans and trousers and realising they can be just as flattering on me as any dress or skirt. Now I’m working it’s nice to use the weekend for more “dressed down” days!

Anyway,
You can follow the lovely London Wishes girls on twitter
and coming soon will be YOUR chance to win any item you like from the London Wishes website.

Have a Happy Saturday everyone, whatever you are doing!
I’m so excited for Interpol with Dad and Bro tonight!

you can thank me later

You can thank me later for this post, right now there is shopping/browsing/drooling/wishlisting to be done!

Always on a mission to find gorgeous jewellery I was delighted to find Stephen Einhorn

“Stephen Einhorn has always had a passion for design. In 1995 he sold his successful advertising model-making company to open a jewellery shop and workshop in Islington. He wanted to concentrate on his own designs using the many skills he had developed over the preceding years. He was one of the first designers to focus on men, having noticed a large gap in the market for men’s jewellery. Paul Smith commissioned Stephen’s very first men’s jewellery collection plus many subsequent collections including a women’s jewellery range sold as ‘Stephen Einhorn for Paul Smith’.”

It’s refreshing to see a website that also caters for jewellery loving men! It certainly makes getting ideas for gifts that bit easier (not that I have a man in my life, but I know enough people who do!) Here you’ll find the men’s jewellery range.
There are also amazing women’s pieces that have my heart all a flutter…allow me to introduce you to my favourites.

Please note, I do try to keep my wish lists affordable for my personal budget, but sometimes I find things that drive me to strictly dreaming!

My top three for men:

Dream Outfit of the Day

I remember vague notions of making this a regular feature on the blog…and then last week I totally forgot, oops…there is no hope!
Anyway, here is my dream outfit of the day for Wednesday 2nd March. It’s a day off for me today, and I’d love to be rocking this laid back cool outfit,
instead the reality is a ratty old jumper dress and somewhat faded leggings. It’s ok, I’m not leaving the house, after a few days of dressing nicely, girlie needs a break!

Asos Link

I love clock pendants. This one is an Asos Bargain!

In an ideal world my nails would be sporting Nails Inc Black with a Twist in Mayfair. Reality? They are NAKED. As usual. Damn I need to get back on the manicure train.

What do you wish you were wearing today?

Got to Shop – Astley Clarke

This week my GOT TO SHOP isn’t quite as attainable as last week’s…but I have so much love for these pieces of jewellery that I had to share.

Astley Clarke

(I’m going through a jewellery obsession lately, amongst other things!)

Amethyst Snail Pendant. I have a strange affection for snails. If anyone is talented with er…paperclips, fancy having a go at making something like this?!

Fiji Peace Bracelet. I love simple sleek designs as much as I love unique and detailed. I also love the word peace. It indulges my inner hippy and battle with myself. I want this please.
Marcato Rhodolite Ring. Fancy name, cute and simple design.

& necklace because I am a Language geek at heart.

Love Bird Earrings. Just too stinking cute!

So there we have this week’s top shop…though if I’m honest I could do at least one of these posts a day!

What are you craving?

LAST DAY FOR GIVEAWAY

Fresh as a Daisy

Oh come on guys, you KNEW today’s post would feature the daisy dress, right?! I just had to be.
It’s a little on the short side, but that is part of the parcel of being tall I think, so I’m doing to rock it regardless with my dignity just about intact.

004

(hi there Flash, attacking my feet, again)

007

The ring up close. It’s adjustable so perfect for everyone. I have chunky fingers and often find it hard to get rings to fit so this is A++

001

A pair of Mum’s old earrings. And by old, I mean older than me.

006

I just *love* early mornings. Yeah.

Happy Friday Guys, what are you up to this weekend? We’re having our house invaded by Richard Parker for a couple of nights (The Croft. Sunday. 7:30pm. Tickets on the door. BE THERE) so it’s gonna be a mad ‘un.

P.S. In honour of it being Eating Disorders Awareness Week, I’ve been featured by butterflyshapes on her blog. Check this girl out, she is the sweetest.
