Pile Up

Summer is the perfect time to wear a whole mismatch of bracelets high up your arms as the short sleeves and sun kissed skin make for the perfect backdrop for your treasures.
It’s something I don’t do that often. I have a vast jewellery collection and yet my bangle selection is lacking. I’ve been browsing Market Cross Jewellers and made this little wishlist of what I would be wearing in an ideal world.
As you can see, the pieces stand out well alone but would also blend in well together. The best thing, in my opinion is the range in prices- from £4.50 for the teal beaded number in the bottom right hand corner through to £180 for the Links of London bangle in the top left. This means I could, theoretically start my collection right now and continue to build it though saving, Birthday and Christmas through until next Summer. Genius.
I don’t think I’ll be able to wait that long though. I’m off to Spain in two and a half weeks and it’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll come back with a (to steal a phrase I hate) “arm party” to rock through the rest of the season. Jewellery out there is everywhere and oh so affordable,
that won’t stop me browsing Market Cross  in the meantime though.
Are you a fan of stacked bracelets?
How high do you go?

A Wiseman Once Said

Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes c/o Sarenza
Necklace c/o Georgia Wiseman
How simple yet striking is this necklace from the talented Georgia Wiseman? Since it’s arrival last week I haven’t taken it off- it’s a shame I failed at grabbing a photo of it on!
Georgia is a Scottish based jewellery designer who graduated from Glasgow School of Art. This year she is making a return with a fresh new take on her designs and a move in to fashion jewellery. Her inspiration comes from geometric patterns and I love the clean cut design…check out her website to see more of her work!
This was Friday’s outfit I think, when the weather was nice but not amazing. The dress was an absolute bargain in Dorothy Perkins at £7 from one of their concessions, the bee print gets a lot of comments and I love the lilac colour.
How is this week shaping up for you? I am loving the sunshine and embracing bare legs- something I don’t usually do in this country! Yesterday saw me have a long overdue outside lunch and catch up with best friend and today I am going to lunch with my grandad after work then spending some time with the boy.
What’s your favourite thing to do in this weather?

daisy chain dreaming: get your SWAG on

I appear to have a bit a bracelet obsession at the moment if recent wish list posts are anything to go by,
there is something about Summer (ha!) and the baring of arms that makes me want to stack them up…
the brighter and bolder the better.
I recently discovered yet another place to haunt for Jewellery online; a little place called SWAG,
a family run business which has 40 years experience of providing beautiful jewellery from fashionable names such as Chlobo, Guess, DKNY and Pandora through to pre-owned watches from luxury brands such as Rolex and Cartier.
Today my lustings come from the Thomas Sabo section of the website…I don’t (yet) own any pieces myself but taking a look at the selection of pre-made bracelets- ideal for those like me who take forever to choose, I have fallen head over heels for the bold yet cutesy Disney themed designs
Fairytale completed bracelet featuring Minnie Mouse, £177.85. I was Minnie obsessed as a child and I love how her pink and girly style has been paired with the bold black.

Kermit! £134.80. I LOVE Kermit, so cute and the pastel pink is perfect for Summer days

Tinkerbell, £104.85 just too cute not to include and perfect for the girly girl.
Ok so they aren’t the most grown up pieces I’ve ever picked but in my eyes Summer jewellery is about having fun.
If this isn’t your thing then why not check out what else SWAG has to offer?
(I also recommend Chlobo and the Pandora S/S collection)
Drop a few hints, buy a few gifts or just treat yourself…come payday I just might!
What do you think of these bracelets? Would you opt for a completed one or design it yourself?

Daisy Chain Dreaming: Butterfly Collection from Guess

So, it was only a matter of days ago that I last featured Guess jewellery on the blog, but I’ve since been sent over details of the latest launch- the Butterfly Collection and I couldn’t resist sharing having fallen head over heels for it- especially that cuff!
The Butterfly Collection perfectly matches the GUESS Girl’s free-spirited nature and highlights her expressive femininity. This collection takes the GUESS Girl’s spirited look to new heights with coloured enamel, intricate opalescent pavé detailing and artfully engraved metal. The hinged movement adds an enchanting surprise, ensuring that the GUESS Girl is nothing but unique.

Prices from £55 – £90

I know my blog seems to mainly be wish lists at the moment but can you blame me with so many gorgeous things about? That and the fact I’m living in my work uniform at the moment, and when I’m not I am either utterly un-inspired by my wardrobe or busy. I’m hoping to get my Summer clothes out over the Bank Holiday so maybe that’ll kick start something…wearing jumpers in May really doesn’t motivate one to post outfit photos!
Anyway,
back to the jewellery…which piece do you most want to fly your way?

daisy chain dreaming: wish collection from GUESS jewellery

I always have and always will love friendship bracelets- so easy to wear and fun to layer up together (or with chunkier pieces). There is something so endearing about them and this new collection from GUESS jewellery has given me major lust.

The new Wish Bracelet Collection from GUESS Jewellery provides the essential feminine  accessory for this Spring/Summer. Representing all the attributes the GUESS Girl holds dear;
Love, Peace, Happiness, Luck and  Friendship, the collection offers a variety of fun and  meaningful motifs.

Perfect for layering and creating your own GUESS Girl look, the collection can be tailored to  suit each individuals style. With intricate design and details, the Wish Bracelet Collection is
perfect to team with oversize frills, pink buttermilk shades or contrast against the black hues
seen on the SS13 runways.

With a choice of gold, rhodium or rose gold finishes, the intricate Swarovski embellishment on
coloured adjustable cord bracelets enables every GUESS Girl to be charmed with a pretty,
sweet and endearing feminine expression this Spring/Summer.

The bracelets are available now- you’ll find them in places like House of Fraser and Debenhams as well as GUESS stores and many jewellery shops priced at £25

Which one have you got your eye on? My personal favourite is the purple one pictured above.
