I may not have the words to sum up our holiday, but I can dump a load of photos on you and let you work it out for yourselves!
The last photo, taken by Ellie was taken in Benalmadena and really sums up so much of what this holiday was about…for me, eating and enjoying ice cream, spur of the moment in full view of everyone marks a turning point. I have finally come to peace with a lot of my battles, have realised just how much the world has to offer and how I need and WANT to be healthy so I can do all the things I want to do but had previously written off. I have a genuine excitment for the future and I refuse to hold myself back.
Enjoy
((I promise that’s it for holiday photos now!))
Back in Britain
Well that’s it,
the holiday had to end and I am back in England…with rain. I seriously cannot begin to recap the time we had out there, so I shall once again direct you to Ellie’s blog where she will be documenting the holiday!
I’ll leave you with a few more photos for now, I guess that at somepoint in the week there will be a proper return to blogging, right now I cannot get my head around a lot at all!

Hola
Hola,
And greetings from our poolside view (and really, our hotel balcony as we’re ground floor right by the pool and bar!)
I had sort of intended to blog as we went along on this holiday, but I feel refreshed and alive and really, haven’t had a spare second to do so until now!
This holiday is proving to be everything I could have hoped for AND more, I can’t even begin to recount everything that we have done, for that I direct you to my travelling buddy Ellie and her blog…
I will be so sad to leave this place behind tomorrow night, but we already have plans to come back here, this exact place for two weeks next year. I have met amazing people and achieved things I honestly didn’t expect to be able to achieve in just a few short days…
I’ll leave this entry here…other than to say Malaga is blogger shopping heaven!
Have a few photos to wet your appetite for my return: this might be the most appalling written entry ever, but dammit, I don’t care!
Jetting Off (on the cheap?)

(source)
With the seemingly never ending rain and grey skies, my mind has once again turned to holidays. I am so disorganised though, I’ve never had a job where I work more than weekends so booking time off was something that hadn’t really occurred. Amazingly, on checking the holiday rota in the office today I have somehow scored a week off in July AND a week in October.
Temptation is creeping in to jet off somewhere hot and sunny, and with websites galore offering cheap holidays it could soon become more reality than fantasy. I do have a few hesitations though.
– Going it alone. As much as I’m craving sun and sea and some peace and quiet, could I stand more than a day of my own company? Especially on foreign shores where I am un-blessed in language and common sense skills. Have you ever been abroad alone? How did you find it?
– Money/hidden costs. Sure the holiday might be cheap, but what about hidden costs? What sort of budget would I plan for?
– Packing. I do not have a holiday wardrobe. And cannot afford one.
– Swimwear. I do not have a beach ready body.
What do we think? Would you do it?
I’m thinking perhaps I’m better off planning for October rather than July, more notice for a friend or two to get some time off…
but then…WHERE IS SUNNY IN OCTOBER?
Oh help.
(sponsored post. I do accept sponsored posts, but only if they relate to me…which this one did. I’ve done nothing but tweet about/complain loudly about my lack of holiday for weeks)
