pixie party

Ok, this outfit post is kind of a cheat as the vile weather yesterday didn’t allow for anything so…pale (I walk across a playing field to get to work, imagine the mud?!) but I wanted to post it regardless and show off my latest piece of Pixie Knitwear (thanks!) ((I would wear a longer top under it for work, promise))

I’m loving how pastels make my hair stand out!

Oh, and meet my new addiction. Just like a screwball…but better; none of that hard gum stuff at the bottom, just chocolate goodness!

Think Pink

I tweeted a few days ago that I couldn’t resist the lure of Zara. I’ve been after some bright trousers for a while now [oh yes, a fully fledged trouser convert] and with the encouragement of my friends [we only went out for coffee, not spending!] I purchased these hot pink ones for £19.99. They come in a tempting array of colours; blue, green and I think, orange too. I might get another pair or two, I know Mum wants the green ones, we could collect them all!

I’ve never actually bought trousers in Zara before. I’ve always been wary because their sizes come up quite small…these are such a fantastic fit I’m thinking of trying some jeans there next.

Worn with another recent purchase…over-sized cardigan from ASOS. Come back Summer warmth.

Well, the long weekend is officially over and I’ve given up my day off to go in to work. Dedication! As someone who thrives on being busy, I’m secretly relieved although it means I don’t get to see Becca until the weekend [sorry Becca!]

Live for the (long weekend)

The best thing about the impending Royal Nuptials? The two day work week! Wahey…Tuesdays are my day off, so I only have to be in Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately we have a new system launch on Thursday, which is also my birthday and we’re going to be working flat out to provide our usual standard of service, so there won’t be much celebrating going on (8am start, 6/7pm finish, no thanks!)…however, the next day being “that” day means I have have belated celebrations with the people that matter most; and maybe crash a few street parties!

Anyhow, I’m getting ahead of myself. First we need to finish this long weekend, and it will be done in chilled out lazy style.
Yesterday I barely moved off my ass, which was hugely satisfying. Today I predict more of the same, perhaps interjected with a trip to Tesco for essentials; girl cannot live on Easter goods alone (as much as she’d like to try)
