one wish down

I caved and bought the Clinique chubby stick from my beauty wishes post. Seeing it in person at the counter in Bath I realised it was indeed a must have for me. My lips are terribly dry but this is moisturising and adds a pretty, sheer tint of colour.

At £14 it’s probably the most expensive lip product I own, but damn I’m hooked. Already.

And just because I have little else to post about…

Wanting.

A few simple wants on this fine Wednesday.

– Work to calm down just a little. I am exhausted after just one day back!

– To work out my camera settings for outfit photos

– For all my photos to be as clear as this (necklace from Matalan)

– For Flash to stop plotting against the world (and depositing mud on my bed)

– To be this talented (a birthday gift from my doll Eloise)

– These trousers (River Island via ASOS)

– Not not have such a raging dependence on sugar and caffeine and to be able to quit smoking just.like.that. (imagine me snapping my fingers)

– For every day to be pay day

– For you to carry on voting!

– Everyone to be having a fabulous week so far.

Think Pink

I tweeted a few days ago that I couldn’t resist the lure of Zara. I’ve been after some bright trousers for a while now [oh yes, a fully fledged trouser convert] and with the encouragement of my friends [we only went out for coffee, not spending!] I purchased these hot pink ones for £19.99. They come in a tempting array of colours; blue, green and I think, orange too. I might get another pair or two, I know Mum wants the green ones, we could collect them all!

I’ve never actually bought trousers in Zara before. I’ve always been wary because their sizes come up quite small…these are such a fantastic fit I’m thinking of trying some jeans there next.

Worn with another recent purchase…over-sized cardigan from ASOS. Come back Summer warmth.

Continuing on the pink theme…HELLO KITTY cereal, it’s actually PINK! Found by my gorgeous girl Leanne in poundland!

Dry cereal is the way forwards!

Flash was feeling the pink too, he didn’t move off my bed all day!

Well, the long weekend is officially over and I’ve given up my day off to go in to work. Dedication! As someone who thrives on being busy, I’m secretly relieved although it means I don’t get to see Becca until the weekend [sorry Becca!]

Live for the (long weekend)

The best thing about the impending Royal Nuptials? The two day work week! Wahey…Tuesdays are my day off, so I only have to be in Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately we have a new system launch on Thursday, which is also my birthday and we’re going to be working flat out to provide our usual standard of service, so there won’t be much celebrating going on (8am start, 6/7pm finish, no thanks!)…however, the next day being “that” day means I have have belated celebrations with the people that matter most; and maybe crash a few street parties!

Anyhow, I’m getting ahead of myself. First we need to finish this long weekend, and it will be done in chilled out lazy style.
Yesterday I barely moved off my ass, which was hugely satisfying. Today I predict more of the same, perhaps interjected with a trip to Tesco for essentials; girl cannot live on Easter goods alone (as much as she’d like to try)
