slower than a slow thing

I still don’t have my laptop but, and google reader still won’t load on this beast but with a little (lot) of patience I am able to update!
There is little else to do on a cold, rainy Tuesday afternoon.

First up is a couple of recent outfits.

The Cat print jumper dress was a present from my Grandparents and so baggy and comfortable that I want to live in it! It was £25 from New Look

(someone got jealous)

Next up is what I wore yesterday, I love these tights although they attracted a few sideways glances when I popped out.

And finally, when I have MY laptop back there are a couple of exciting posts to be done. Here’s a little sneak preview of what’ll be making an appearence!

(I’ll leave you guessing on that one!)

For now I highly suggest you follow Vero Moda on twitter and like them on facebook…there are fabulous times ahead.

And that’s that for now. I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week and are managing to stay warm and dry. Hopefully I’ll be back properly, soon.

Black and Blue

Happy Monday all,
the start of another week. It’s looking very autumnal in my garden, leaves strewn everywhere, beautiful but at the same time a little depressing. I must try and get some photos this week.

Todays outfit kind of breaks some rules, I remember being told when I was younger not to wear black and blue together,
but I’ve become rather fond of the contrast and so, with a lack of options of this inbetween weather, I chucked this on

[please note Flash, who has been stalking me all morning]

The lights have wet look leopard print detail and are very strange to walk around in, as they make a wierd noise against laminate flooring.

Anyone have any exciting plans for the week? I have a quiet one ahead with only blood tests and the dentist booked in so far…

And London Fashion Week is, in my opinion, far surpassing NY. I am head over heels with Matthew Williamson especially.

New Look + Idol = heaven

As regular readers of my blog you guys must know by now how much I love New Look. I shop there pretty much all the time, and have done for years. I’ve become increasingly impressed with the value and quality of the clothes and even when I vow I’ll go somewhere else for a new outfit, or pair of shoes 75% of the time (at least) I end up with a New Look bag in hand.

So, when I got the Press Release for the new range, Idol, I was beyond excited.

“This premium brand is fresh and dynamic bringing a vibrant vintage rock vibe to a select number of stores internationally. Aimed at the style savvy shopper,
the girl who wants to rock the trends of the moment in her own unique way.
Packed with must–haves: sequin boyfriend blazers, funky jumpsuits, denim
and effortlessly cool, printed tees and dresses. Also featured is Idol footwear, gladiator style stilettos, spike heel peep toe and chain adorned ankle boots.
The directional accessories continue with chunky necklaces, statement cuffs and much–loved bags.
“Idol is for the girl who wants to own her look rather than dress like everyone else”, say Shoreditch-based designer Donovan Pascal who along with his partner marketeer Mark Herman have spent many years as key figures in the fashion world evolving a signature style for many of the coolest labels around this earning them a host of A–list fans.
Inspired by ‘80s rock icons such as Debbie Harry, the 32 garments and 36 accessories of the first collection are woven together by a series of intricate details – with the signature ‘Idol print’ running through dresses, jackets and
bag linings. Beautifully–made, every piece of the Idol collection comes with
a hand-crafted, customised feel that encourages women to wear it in their own, individual way. Idol will drop six collections a year with the second collection hitting stores in November”.

Enjoy,
I’ll keep you posted on more updates!
