Crazy Christmas Jumpers

As of tomorrow it’s finally (probably) acceptable to start rocking those festive knits and although I own plenty that hasn’t stopped me browsing.
Twitter introduced me to this fun little company- Crazy Christmas Jumpers which stocks a lovely array of unisex designs priced at a reasonable £29.99. If you and your partner are the same size you could share for different events and it becomes even better value!

These are my personal picks from the website, my favourite being the hot pink number at the top. Who needs traditional jumpers eh? The more fun and out there the better in my eyes!

Have you got your jumper yet? And will you be participating in Christmas Jumper day on December 13th? I’ve signed my workplace up and have been organising from afar whilst off sick. I can’t wait. I love an excuse to do something silly for a good cause.
(and it’s a good excuse to have a little shop at Crazy Christmas Jumpers right?)

Luxe little Stocking Fillers from Aspire Style

Stocking fillers are one of my favourite things about Christmas present shopping. Seeking out cute little additions to a main gift or making a hamper or box out of several themed goodies. This year Aspire Style has come up trumps with their range of gifts under a fiver and I’m struggling to think of anyone who wouldn’t love these festive themed yet year round usable treats!

The bath salts and lip balms are all priced at £4.99 and the range consists of favourite festive tipples- I’m a Gin&Tonic girl myself.
The squirrel pen costs £3.99 and really has no place in this post other than it was just too cute not to include!
Aspire Style aren’t just brilliant for gifts either, I’ve found my perfect Christmas Day Dress
It costs £49 but would see me through NYE and other winter gatherings too. Love.
Which of these little gifts would you like to receive?
I think they’d make a lovely main gift with a bottle of said drink packaged with the bath salts and lipbalm….the perfect way to relax after all the festive madness!

BHS Christmas Campaign

I love this time of year, I really do. Everything suddenly starts to feel festive- decorations start springing up, Christmas songs start playing and the Christmas ads on TV start appearing. Everyone seems to have their favourite and this year I am LOVING this little snippet from BHS!

I think it’s brilliantly quirky and really clever with the characters they’ve given the toys. I just can’t get enough! It’s an amazing way to showcase what gifts BHS have to offer this festive season and will appeal to both children and adults which not a lot of adverts manage to do- they seem to cater on one or the other.

When it comes to Christmas shopping as much as I love the convenience of online shopping nothing beats a browse through actual shops. The crowds get to me, I’m not a crowd person at the best of times and I find myself rapidly losing patience but when most of my presents have been delivered to my door I do enjoy a few hours picking out those finishing touches and stocking fillers from my favourite stores.
Bristol is pretty good for this, over recent years it’s become more and more well served for shops and it’s never a challenge finding what I need. We’re lucky we still have a large BHS store (two in fact with one at Cribbs Causeway) and I never turn down a browse of their treasure trove of gifts which seems to get better by the year.

This year I literally have two gifts left to get- one for my Mum and one for the Boy. I have annual leave next week and fingers crossed my back will allow me at least a short look around both the shops and German Market which I have heard is better than ever this year.

What has been your favourite Christmas TV ad this year?
How far are you with your Christmas shopping and where do you do most of yours?

a proper winter warmer from teapigs

I used to be known as “the coffee girl”, always opting for a large mug of something strong and caffeine filled. These days I’m much more about the tea- admittedly most likely to be found sipping a cup of Earl Grey than something herbal but I was delighted when my favourite tea brand, teapigs about their newly launched Christmas Shop. Jam packed full of gifts for tea lovers- from stocking fillers to serious gadgets I have found myself coveting really rather a lot. Luckily I was also sent a pack of spiced winter red tea to tide me over and oh boy this really is “Christmas in a Cup” packed full of orange, cloves and cinnamon with a base of rooibos. This is THE drink for icy cold dark evenings and fills the house with a charming festive scent. I did find it a little strong for my taste when drunk straight up but with a splash of milk it was just perfect. It would also make a bloody brilliant alternative to mulled wine for the non-drinkers at a festive gathering (or indeed a cheeky alcoholic tipple itself with a splash of brandy).
Well done teapigs for making me covet yet more gorgeous goods and reminding me just why I fell in love with you in the first place.
What would you like from the Christmas Shop? I love the look of the Scandinavian Teapot. Best get writing that letter to Santa.

Christmas comes to Monster Sweets

How many times have I raved about Monster Sweets on the blog? Enough to most readers to know I am a massive fan of this shop and it’s wonderful owner.
We e-mail from time to time and during on of these conversations the question of whether there would be any Christmas treats going up was raised. The answer was yes, he’d give it a go. And he did. With great results!
American Sweets Gift Box- £15 (there is also a European one of these too)

A fill your own idea- the box costs £1.50 with a bow for an optional 60p. You then choose the contents of the box and the price of those is added on, plus the standard delivery fee. I did one of these for Ben’s Dad and it worked out so much cheaper than others I had seen  and was created especially for him. I can’t wait for him to get it!

European Gift Hamper- £23. Top of my wishlist this year, wow!

Ritter Sport gift box containing the Winter Limited Edition bars- caramelized almond, coconut macaroon and caramel orange. The box costs £7.00 and I want it. Ritter Sport never, ever dissapoints!

What do you think of these as gift ideas? I love them- especially the create your own box option.
What would be in your dream box out of everything on the Monster Sweets website?
Keep a close eye out, I’ve heard on the grapevine that a few more bits will be making their way on there soon
(buy me a Reeses Christmas tree as you browse)
