Over the Easter long weekend we were spoilt with the first real taste of Spring weather and by the Monday I was finally persuaded out of my monochrome/denim based outfits and in to something more colourful. Every blogger and their dog bought this skirt last Summer when it hit Primark, it’s not often I buy in to something like that but there is something so irresistibly cheerful about bubblegum pink and the perfect midi length. Actually, of everything I’ve ever bought from Primark this is the poorest quality and I fear it might not last another year…you win some you lose some!

I’m not sure why I look so grumpy in these photos- it was a Monday where I didn’t have to be in work and the sun was out! Life’s been a bit like that lately, I don’t have any reason to be feeling so rubbish and yet a lot of the time I do…fingers crossed that now the weather is on the turn for a good stretch of time things will start to lift.
One way to shift some of the blues is definitely to dress is more colour, thankfully with a Birthday in 11 days I’ll soon have an excuse to go forth and shop and stock up on some bright and beautiful pieces. Mum and I are heading to Cardiff for the day on the 28th April, do let me know where I need to check out (or indeed where to avoid!)
I hope you’re feeling suitably spring-like…

This is gorgeous, I love the pink colours. Such a summery and happy outfit xx
I personally don’t like wearing bubble gum pink very often but I can appreciate how pretty it looks-you do look very bright and cheerful!Xx
The bubblegum pink is gorgeous, but it just wouldnt work for me becuase I would feel like an imposter in such a girly colour.
You look lovely, so I hope you feel better soon.

Oh! I have that skirt and never thought of wearing it with flat, let alone converse, but it looks so good! I definitely need to give it a go!
Hope you fell better soon!

I love that bubblegum pink colour and the drape of your Primark skirt.
Loving bubblegum pink on you Laura, I always think pink is such a divine colour for you because of the stunning vibes it has against your red hair. Midi skirts look so perf on you. Pretty in pink for sure! And pink converse are always a win <3
I so hope your spirits lift soon lovely lady, it's only what you deserve. I hope your birthday sees all your dreams, wishes and hopes come true, and let's hope the heat wave continues for it 😀
P.S Beautiful girl! If grumpy looks like this then it sure is gorgeous 😉
