The new year has seen me vow to browse in less obvious places, there is nothing wrong with the high street old faithfuls but the time has come to broaden my sartorial horizons and pursue pastures new. My first wish list of 2013 comes via Jigsaw and their gorgeous array of dresses; they may not be Primark prices but you’ll soon see why I love them so.

I figured I’d start with a show stopper, at £325 this is way out of my budget but I LOVE all things flapper and this dress makes a statement and a half. Swoon. |

I don’t think I’ll ever lose my love of florals, even when they cost £99 (in the sale) |

I vote sequins are for life, not just for Christmas. I’d love to try wearing this to work! |

This lace jersey dress costs £129 but looks like the perfect versatile piece…suitable for work and play it’ll soon earn it’s keep. |

I think this might be my absolute favourite. Simple, clean cut and chic- everything I wish I was. |
I think I’ll be keeping a closer eye on jigsaw, especially the dresses. I kind of feel like I’ve grown up a lot in the last year and I want my wardrobe to reflect that. Are you finding the same as you get older? Of course there will ALWAYS be space in my life for novelty knits and a rainbow of tights but a few investment pieces here and there wouldn’t hurt.
What are your style resolutions and where will you be browsing this year?

Love that last dress – reminds me of the Carvan one worn by Alex Chung. Haven’t really made any style resolutions this year, but I guess I’d like to buy less and invest more in pieces that I can wear over and over again.
The flapper dress and the last dress are so gorgeous, I think I am buying more dresses and tunics, I’ve worn jeans for so long it was definitely time for a change. xx
Love the last dress especially! I know what you mean about not wanting to shop high street…I dont think its cos im growing up haha but I just hate wearing the same as everyone else! Don’t think I could justify spending this much on dress but Asos designer dress sale always has expensive dresses at a bargain price! I can really see you in the flapper dress! x
Mehhhh, still suffering with the cold, but i went for a spa day with my friend yesterday and we BLASTED the sauna so i think that helped get rid of some of the stuffiness! I just hope im back to usual by monday, its no fun teaching with cotton wool for a brain :p
That flapper dress is gorge, i have a similar vintage one that my mum found me…. its almost too precious to wear, i worry it’ll fall apart! (i do sometimes bring it out and just sigh at its beauty tho!) haha. xx
I sooooo love that flapper dress, but blimey what a price!

I am nearing 30 & so do the ‘adult’ pieces moments, but I have a theory – we all change our style in slight degrees as we age anyway, that’s my theory. I find I am drawn to moments of Jigsaw too, or little things that are slightly less ‘young’ bohemian/hippy.
That first dress, stunning!! xxx
I love that flapper dress, I definitely think the higher price at Jigsaw is justified by the quality although can’t really afford to shop there. I will be continuing to try and shop sustainably by buying as little as possible and sticking to second hand, vintage and ethical brands.
LOVE that floral dress, I’ve bought about 5 floral dresses in the sales!
The first one is gorgeous! I definitely need more classic pieces.

The last one is so my favourite too, it is uber cute. But, I’m not sure I will ever grow up when it comes to fashion, I’m almost 30 and still find myself drawn to studs, skull motifs and cutsey skater dresses.

I love the lace jersey dress, but it’s way out of my price range! xx
The first dress is SO gorgeous, I’m obsessed with flapper dresses too x
The flapper dress is so lovely and just in time for the Great Gatsby! Also, the last dress is so cute and reminds me of a one Emilio Pucci did a few seasons back. (:
I love a posh dress, although I don’t have that many occasions to wear them. That flapper dress is an absolute stunner.
Hope you had a good Christmas, happy new year 2013!
