Girl in Black

Another set of photos taken by Ben; these are from last Friday and show what I wore for work in the morning and then on to a hospital appointment (verdict- my back is fixed!) and onwards in to town for some dinner and to watch a football match in Walkabout. I won’t lie, I’m super struggling with how my body is looking right now and these photos aren’t sitting easy with me, but I refuse to give up on blogging outfit photos just because I don’t especially like what I see.
Dress: c/o ASOS | Tights: I honestly can’t remember! | Boots: Tamaris via Sarenza
The lovely people at ASOS sent me this dress along with a few other goodies from their Tall range. Designed for people 5ft9 (my height) and above this range is perfectly proportioned, so no more exposing knickers or waistlines sitting in odd places. This dress is a beauty, I got so many compliements when I wore it. The neckline is perfect, and doesn’t gape, the waist sits where it should and the length makes it a perfect addition to my workwear staples. I accessorised with a rose gold necklace from Lola & Grace, I can’t get enough of their jewellery and I’m slowly building up quite a collection
I haven’t worn this boots much and I’m not really sure why other than they are suede and the weather has been so wet. I love the gold detailing on them and the fact I can be on my feet all day and not get a single blister or foot ache. Expect to see a lot more of these from now on!
I can’t wait to show off more pieces from the ASOS tall range, I have two more to style up so I’m quite certain they will be on the blog soon. I’m a bit behind in getting outfit photos so sorry for the lack of outfit posts but being back at work and the inclement weather mean it’s not as easy as it was before!
Tall girls, which stores do it best? From what I’ve tried and for the sheer amount available right now I’m saying good old Asos!

Etsy Obsession- Ladybird Likes

My blog reading obsession led me to my latest Etsy Obsession feature. I first discovered Ladybird Likes well over a year ago and have been stalking the website and instagram page ever since. It’s one of those shops that sells something to suit all tastes, from the quirky to the motivational…personally I’m rather a fan of it all, but especially all the cats!

(all price and product details available by hovering over image)

Ladybird likes is created and run by the super-duper talented Zoe, who you can read all about right here. I’d love to spend a day inside her brain just to experience how she thinks up such creations. Her range of greetings cards with badges are genius- I love the Breaking Bad one almost…well, almost as much as I love Breaking Bad.
To see everything that Zoe has created take a gander at the Ladybird Likes Etsy Shop and don’t forget to leave me a comment letting me know which piece(s) are your favourite!

Pink and White

So, we have Ben living with us at the moment which is brilliant. Not only do I get to see my boyfriend every day, I also have a blog photographer so stand a better chance of getting decent outfit photos. This set was taken on our one year anniversary last Tuesday, it’s what I wore for my first reception shift back at work as well as for a meal out in the evening.
Top: New Look | Skirt: Primark | Shoes: Topshop | Jewellery c/o Jon Richard
I love this top from New Look so much, an absolute bargain at £12.99 I stocked up and bought it in pastel pink and baby blue as well. Despite being on the short side these are perfect for work and go super well with skirts. In this outfit it makes me look quite…bulky, for want of a better word but until I get some more fitted tops to wear with this style of skirt I can live with how it looks!
I accessorised the outfit with some statement silver jewellery from the folks at Jon Richard, these are the pieces that I was also sent with the gold ones I featured last week. Also from the mood collection and available to buy online and at Debenhams these fit really well with my style and give a sleek finish to an otherwise plain outfit. I think the necklace will become a staple for adding to plainer work outfits as it looks chic and smart and gives a polished finish.
The skirt is of course “that skirt” from Primark which every blogger and her dog now owns. It doesn’t stop me loving it though, I’m a bit obsessed with this shape right now. I saw a gorgeous gingham skirt in Primark the other day too, but the quality was terrible so I left it behind. The shoes were an absolute steal in the Topshop sale after Christmas, I think they were something silly like £12 and are so comfortable and perfect for Spring.
What are you stocking up on right now?

This is Not Just Easter…

I told you I was really getting in to Easter this year and following on from my non-edible gift guide I now present to you one of the tastiest looking gift guides I have ever compiled.Marks and Spencer are always bang on with their innovative food ranges for all occasions and this Easter is going to be no exception; get a load of this little lot!
I’ve popped a little description and the price of each product with the image so if you hover over you can see it. How amazing does everything look? I have wanted the Hello Kitty for a few years now so I was delighted to see M&S have bought it back again, although it’s almost too cute to eat. Almost.
The cracking dessert sounds promising, I’ll let the experts do the talking though! “For an Easter treat on the go or at home try this Easter Cracking Dessert (£1.30 95g). A crunchy crumb layered with milk chocolate cheesecake and vanilla mousse, topped with orange and lemon curd”. YUM! I’ll be keeping an eye out for this one.
This post really only touches the surface of what Marks and Spencer have to offer over the next few weeks, there are so many more products I could have shown you but I decided to be a bit of a tease meaning you’ll have to pop in store and check it out for yourselves. If I haven’t bought it all that is…I’m destined to be egg shaped by May at this rate!
Have you seen any awesome Easter products I should be blogging about? Drop me a note in the comments and I’ll check them out.

Sarenza Sunday- he loves me

Call me predictable but I am ALL over these Daisy Print Vans, new in on Sarenza. I found myself skimming over the numerous delicate Summer sandals and killer heels, always heading back to these humble hi-tops for this week’s post.
I’ve found myself ditching my favoured ankle boots lately, wanting only the comfort of my two pairs of Vans shoes. I’ve asked my parents for the ASPCA cat print pair for my Birthday in just over three weeks time and I’m thinking these might also be a near future addition to my collection, I love the “he loves me, he loves me not detail on the trim almost as much as I love the Daisy print.
What do you think of these? Fellow Vans fans, they are hands down the comfiest shoes ever, right?
