making waves

Vest: ASOS
Skirt and Shoes: New Look
Picked up a couple of these ASOS vests a few weeks ago now- £6 each and a dream fit, I’m trying to build up a few staples in my wardrobe so I expect I’ll be ordering more colours soon.
I’m so happy with how my hair turned out the other week, the hairdresser used a new (to me) product on it- Matrix Get Action spray wax which has proven to be a miracle worker. I never used to be one to splurge on hair products but this has swayed me and it’ll be a repeat purchase.
Have you discovered any little miracles? This and salt water spray keep my waves, well, wavy.
Wednesday again- I can’t believe it. Apparently we’re in for ten days of glorious sunshine which if true couldn’t be better time as my brother is home for a few days and I have a weekend planned with the boy which I hope can involve lots of chilling out in the park. That and of course we’re long overdue decent weather!
It’s been a good week so far, I’m writing this stupidly early from the comfort of my new bed- my first “grown up” furniture purchase. I feel happy, life is good and I hope it is for everyone else, too.
What’s going on?

Pepsi Max #LiveForNow

So, I’m not overly familiar with London Town but I know there are some pretty fun and exciting things to do there- some of which I have explored (hello M&M world!) and some of which are on my ever-growing “must do” list. This campaign from Pepsi Max, called #LiveForNow features Dynamo as he explores the sights of London in the most extreme and fun looking way possible…if only it was possible for us all to do it like that! I really like the ethos of this campaign, taking time to make the most of what’s around you and looking at it from a new perspective. It’s something that I’ve tried to employ in my every day life and so far, it’s working. The world is suddenly an exciting and freeing place to be and I can honestly say I’ve never been happier; I wake up each day curious to see what new adventure lays ahead, even if it does land me in stressful situations at times. As many of you know, I’m recovering (still) from an Eating Disorder and something I’ve learnt over the years is that life is too damn short and we really all do need to #LiveForNow

Designer & Desirable

In your Pocket dress, £70

Eclipse dress, £95

Firehouse playsuit, £95

I am generally quite fickle when it comes to brands and designers, liking only one piece per collection/season but whilst browsing Designer Desirables last night (as you do on a sunny Monday evening) I found myself drawn to multiple pieces by Finders Keepers. I’ve featured my top three pieces above but there is also a gorgeous mini skirt and some fabulous crop tops that I have my eye on…
The entire website is worth a browse to be honest, it’s been on my radar for a while; stacked full of celebrity favoured brands to suit all tastes and budgets. There are some well known labels on there as well as some lesser known ones that are a little harder to come by, I’m quite taken with this bag by Anna Smith which costs a mere £34 and would be fantastic for summer days and nights (it comes in four colours in total in case pink isn’t your thing)

My first purchase from the site was a few years ago now and cost me what felt like a fortune now but actually wasn’t. It was a t-shirt with a quirky design on that I’ve never seen elsewhere…that’s the kind of thing I like when I shop, something you’re not going to see on 1000 other people walking down a street and that’s why I can feel my fingers itching to click “purchase” on a few more items in the near future. I’ll admit the site slipped off my radar for a little while but it’s now firmly back on there with good reason.
Have you shopped with Designer Desirables before? If you’ve had a little browse then what has caught your eye?

summer days

Shoes: Ted Baker c/o Sarenza
Dress: New Look (last year)
We’ve had a few good days over the last week and I’ve embraced each one by wearing something summery. I bought this dress a year ago and have only really worn it once or twice, I really like how floaty and girly it is so I think I’ll make it a fairly regular outfit choice.
These shoes are a pair I featured on one of my shoe wishlists (frequent as they are) and when I saw they had gone in to the sale at Sarenza I knew I needed them.
Well, it’s Monday again and back to the working week…the time is flying these days and the weekends roll round faster and faster.
This weekend was spent relaxing at the boy’s new place- Saturday was utterly divine weather wise and we spent a couple of hours lazing in the sun in a nearby (like, just over the road) park. You wouldn’t know you’re near the city center when you’re there…bliss.
Sunday would have been (still is) my Nan’s birthday and myself and my family made a trip down to Sidmouth where we scattered her ashes last year. It’s bittersweet going there, but comforting to be close to her. I know she’d be proud of all that has happened in the past twelve months for all of my family and although I’m not a great believer is this kind of thing, it’s hard not to believe that she’s acting as a guardian angel.
How was your weekend?

Sarenza Sunday- Janey

New brand on the Sarenza website alert!
L.A.M.B. have made their debut giving me fresh meat to covet. Straight on to my lust list is the Janey shoe costing an eye-watering £375. I’m trying to do some calculations on a cost per wear basis…I mean, they are monochrome and a classic shape…they must be a bargain somehow?!
I’m not familiar with L.A.M.B. as a brand but seeing the offerings on the website so far I think I might be a fan.
Are you a L.A.M.B. lover? What new shoe brands have you found lately?
