Craving Clarks

Can you believe all these shoes are by Clarks?
Up until a year or so ago I associated the brand with footwear favoured by the elderly; or on the other end of the scale, memories of trying to find a decent pair of school shoes to fit my flipper feet.
It seems the brand have moved on though and produced some seriously cool design, with the added bonus of them being made by a brand with true British Heritage who’s main priority remains with comfort.
The top pair of sandals are very similar to a tribal pair I already own, I am really quite tempted by these though as they are in the sale at Bells Shoes for a mere £29.99.
Not one pair of these beauties will cost you more than £60 which is another thing I love about the brand, they use quality leather yet still manage to keep things affordable. Bravo Clarks, bravo.
I can see my collection expanding in the near future- I currently own a couple of heeled pairs as well as some flat leather sandals and some rather snazzy cut out brogues (not to mention the leopard print loafers)
Have you had a look at Clarks lately? What brands have really upped their game recently for you?
For more bargains on branded footwear or to see more of Clarks designs take a peek at Bells Shoes, yet another new to me online retailer. This is getting dangerous!

Introducing "The Boy"

So, I finally have a photo of the pair of us (and permission) to share with you lovely lot. Meet “The Boy”, seemingly a source of great curiosity around these parts!
We’ve had another fabulous weekend spent with friends- a gathering on Friday night,
sun-seeking in a local park of Saturday and more of the same yesterday until I left him to meet up with Birthday Girl Trudi and a couple of dear friends for dinner at the Pitcher and Piano on Bristol’s waterfront. The food there was AMAZING, seriously good but damn the service left a lot to be desired…I am usually pretty patient with food establishments but it wasn’t busy yet seemingly impossible to get anything.
We also did a spot of Gromit hunting and fro-yo eating at AngelBerry (I vote for the coconut flavour)
Now it’s back to work, but how can you be sad about that when the sun is out and it’s roasting hot? It’s getting me seriously in the mood for my holiday- 22 days and counting!
What did you get up to this weekend?

Sarenza Sunday- Mad for Miista yet again

Miista is one of those footwear brands that consistently turns up trumps for me, I can pretty much guarantee there will always be something on sale that I love.
These Palmira Sandals (£120) and new in on Sarenza are no exception. Pastel, girly and utterly gorgeous they have shot straight to the top of my “covet” list. At their current price they will have to wait but should they ever go on sale then I’m there!
I love how one week I’m craving neon hi-tops and the next I’m back to heels or delicate sandals…I guess having quirky shoe tastes helps in some ways but is a nightmare in others (especially when it comes to storage!) It’s hard to believe that in my teenage years I thought owning five pairs of shoes- mostly trainers was excessive!
What is your shoe collection like? Do you have eclectic tastes?

P.S. Happy Birthday to my bestest best friend Trudi- loyal, huggable and recipient of my shoe over spill! Love ya girly.

Asda Holiday Haul

Everyone needs a jar of sweets in their bedroom, fact.

Introducing Tobias, the boy’s cat (who really doesn’t like me much)

My order from Literary Emporium– worth it for the gorgeous packaging alone.

Playing dress up.

Summer slob out gear.

Treated myself to this Anna Lou of London cat necklace.

Yep, still got that Smurfs obsession.

As casual as it gets.

Child at heart but these are awesome.

Mae’s current sleeping place of choice. She can even open my wardrobe and get herself in.

I should write a book on uses for used bus tickets.

Instagram posts- Love or Loathe?
Personally I love them, I’m such a nosy bugger.

Dress c/o Laura Ashley
Sandals: H&M (old)
Confession; I had totally forgot I owned these sandals. It wasn’t until the arrival of my new bed last week and a clear out of my shoes to utilise my new under bed storage that I found them. How I let them pass me by I don’t know, they are the comfiest gladiator style sandals I have ever owned and cost me something stupid like £14.99 three years ago.
I also need to wear this dress more. Sent to me by the lovely folk at Laura Ashley (who have a rather smashing sale on at the moment) it’s one of those dresses that requires bare legs, and given that the weather has only just allowed for that I guess I’ll be living in this for a bit…
It’s only a few weeks until my holiday now and I’m still on the search for some holiday essentials. I’m going for almost a fortnight and I don’t want to take loads of clothes with me as I want to bring lots back! What staples that multi-task would you suggest? So far I’m thinking maxi dresses, denim shorts and a few vests/tees and flip flops…
I’m a rubbish packer, and even more rubbish at packing light so all ideas appreciated.
