ditsy denim

Denim Shirt c/o Ax Paris
Skirt: Matalan
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell at Sarenza
How cute is this floral denim shirt? I own shockingly little denim compared to most people I know but this pretty little thing from Ax Paris called to me from the pages of it’s website.
I teamed it with a now quite old skirt from Matalan that has long earned it’s cost per wear considering I spent all of a fiver on it. I wore this Saturday day time before the weather turned really icy again, a change from the one day a week I usually pull on a pair of jeans.
Speaking of jeans, I really need a new pair and I’m a bit lost as to where to look. I’m fed up of spending money on some that are *almost* but not quite right. My favourite current pair come from Oasis and were a competition win, they are pretty much my ideal but I’d like to know where else to look. For someone who used to wear nothing but jeans and a printed tee I now know very little about what’s out there. I had a phobia of them for a few years but I’m over that now and ready to invest (within reason!)
I should really be getting ready for work right now considering I leave the house at 7am on a Wednesday but I am seriously lacking in energy this week and the thought of finding enough layers to face the bitter cold is not appealing in the slightest. On the bright side, it can’t last much longer right? I mean, this IS March after all…

a leopard never changes it’s spots

Tee: Peacocks
Skirt: River Island
Boots: Sarenza
Glasses c/o Specsavers
Bee Earrings c/o yourfashionjewellery.com
This skirt is probably the only thing I’ve ever purchased in a River Island sale; I bought it when I started my current job two years ago and have worn it to death. Despite the print I find it a classic- I totally count leopard print as a classic and easy to team with all manner of tops. I wish I had stocked up on these tees when Peacocks was still going strong on the high street, at a fiver each I am impressed with the fit and quality of these. Lesson learnt, find something you like and buy it in every colour!
I thought these little earrings, a gift from yourfashionjewellery.com added a touch of spring to the outfit. I’m a sucker for cute earrings and these bees certainly are cute! A lot of people commented on them which is always a good sign! The website sells a lot of sweet statement jewellery at affordable prices, with free delivery on all orders it’s worth a browse. I’m a bit obsessed with changing my tragus stud at the moment too, I want to branch out a bit with some more fun adornments, I’m currently coveting this one a lot!
I appear to go through phases with accessories- take belts for example, I rarely wear them yet have loads and decided that this outfit HAD to have one. I’m like it with jewellery too and stupidly culled a lot of my less worn pieces.
Where do you shop for jewellery or accessories in general? I’m feeling the need to stock up (and wear the damn things more!)

Dress c/o She Likes
Boots: Miista
Just one photo of this particular outfit, partly because I was feeling self concious in body-con and partly because I was rushing to go out to see The Full Monty.
I remember promising last month that I would properly embrace body-con and get an item in my size rather than the next one up. When I was offered the chance to receive an item from She Likes and was most attracted to this dress I realised it was now or never.
At first I was super aware of how I looked in it, focusing on all the perceived flaws, but as the night went on I realised I cared less and less, and what I saw as flaws other people weren’t even noticing. It actually felt great to properly fill a piece of clothing, I think my main issue with body-con in the past was that there simply wasn’t enough body for it to look right!
It was great to FINALLY give these bargain boots a proper airing too. I took great pleasure in telling my friends how little I paid for them!
The Full Monty was brilliant! I’m pretty sure it’s touring so if you get a chance to see it, do. I love a theatre production that stays true to it’s film roots and although it has been a while since I’ve seen a film I thought this was brilliantly done and very accurate. It made for a great girls night out and we’ve vowed to make more trips to the theatre as there is quite a lot coming to the Bristol Hippodrome that we’d like to see and it’s a brilliant excuse to dress up a bit!
What’s the best thing you’ve seen on stage?

Sarenza Sunday- I love (affordable) shoes!

Phodeal, £47

Phopealing, £44

Phodge, £31

Phofolle, £39

I’ve mentioned before the brand “I Love Shoes” at Sarenza, highlighted for their on trend designs at affordable prices,
in keeping with what I already knew about the brand their S/S collection has not dissapointed with these pastel and metallic beauties all priced under £50.
My personal favourite is the Phopealing shoe- there’s something about delicate pastels combined with bold black and studs that makes for an easy on the eye, edgy summer sandal. At these prices you can afford to follow a shoe trend, wear them to death for one season and not feel so bad for not investing in a classic.

Which is your favourite? Do you feel a Spring feet treat coming on?

Sian, the blogger behind Kittenish Behaviour is one of my oldest blogging friends,
so when I found out that she was launching an online boutique I vowed to myself that I’d support her no matter what.
Lucky for Sian I fell in love with her beautiful designs and it’s with great pride I can share with you her creations and a little bit about her shop, also called Kittenish Behaviour
Kittenish Behaviour Designs began in 2010 as a blog for fashion-fixated Creative Director Siân. Needing a motivator for her New Years resolution Siân committed herself to a journey through her humongous wardrobe and toppling towers of shoes! Siân worked her way through mountains of clothes, experimenting with new combinations, tearing off labels of long forgotten purchases and wearing each and every one of her 4 billion pairs of shoes!
She’s banned shopping sprees (and failed!), Dressembered and shared with us her mums stunning collection of vintage dresses. Like many women, Siân found that most high street fashion never quite hung right, thankfully her love of making things (along with ninja-like sewing skills!) meant she was able to alter, adjust and create her own items for a perfect fit. After falling in love with vintage style Siân began to seek out fun and unusual fabrics.
Combining her love of art and all things geeky she recreated vintage patterns with striking, modern prints. Her unique designs drew admiration from around the world and, after much cajoling from family & friends- Kittenish Behaviour Designs was born!
Sketching & stitching her own range of dresses throughout the day, former Bunny Girl Siân spent her nights at The Playboy Club London until she was able to hang up her bunny ears (and tail) and dedicate herself fully to Kittenish Behaviour. Scouring the world for the most sought-after dresses Kittenish Behaviour stocks a range of Pin-Up fashion and accessories.
Kittenish Behaviour original designs are created by Siân exclusively for Kittenish Behaviour, and are made in the UK. Each style is strictly limited to 21, never-to-be-repeated, individually-numbered pieces worldwide. When not dreaming up fabulous dresses Siân enjoys Swishing, Star Trek and watching You Tube videos of exotic cats!
“As well as my own designs I also decided to stock hard to find in the UK designers like Trashy Diva and Bernie Dexter because I love their dresses but not the inevitable extra £40-£50 you would have to pay to get them to the UK!”

Kittenish Behaviour Abalone Dress- £260

Kittenish Behaviour Addiction Dress- £260

Kittenish Behaviour Barbarella Dress- £180

Kittenish Behaviour Madison Dress- £260

These above are Sian’s own designs (my personal favourite is Barbarella), to see what else she stocks- including some beautiful and exclusive jewellery just pop along to the website and be prepared to want to spend. A lot.
What do you think? If you fancy your chances at winning a dress then Sian is hosting a giveaway on her blog too!
