banished those blues

I think bright colours are the ultimate cure for down in the dumps days and they don’t get much brighter than this gorgeous satchel from Flights of Nancy (c/o) which retails at £90. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect satchel for quite some time so I am eternally grateful to have been sent this one which ticks all my bag boxes- fun, spacious and well made.

If you feel the need for some brightness or fancy shopping the blues away the gorgeous Natalie at Flights of Nancy is offering a super generous 30% off when you use the code HAPPYNEWYEAR at the checkout…it’s valid until the end of January and if that doesn’t put a smile on your face I don’t know what will.

Jumper c/o AX Paris, Jeans- Next via Mum’s wardrobe, Converse c/o Sarenza

After a few days back at work in smart clothes I was crying out for jeans at the weekend. It’ll be a sad day when this pair give up the ghost- they are the ultimate feel good jeans and I wish I had bought several pairs back in the day. I’m thinking of ordering a back up of this jumper so I don’t get the same “please don’t fall apart” feelings…it’s so snuggly and baggy. I want to live in it.

I hope no-one is struggling too badly with the January Blues. We joke about it a lot as a nation but it is a very real problem and I am sending a massive virtual cuddle to anybody who’s having a hard time right now.

Well, short and sweet post, there isn’t much to say so early in the week; no chance for anything to happen yet..after the madness of the last few weeks I’d be quite happy if it stayed that way if I’m honest!

How are you doing?

Sarenza Sunday- perfect pastels

Converse All Star Hi in Orange Pale, £45

Parfino by Georgia Rose, £135

Parikkala by Georgia Rose, £111

Party season is (sadly) over and I’m looking ahead to my dream Spring shoe wardrobe. It emerges every year but my love of pastels will never die and I cannot wait for the weather to dry up enough to wear these pale pretties without fear of deadly mud stains. The Georgia Rose boots have well and truly captured my heart and seem the perfect transitional piece- we can’t rely on good weather the second spring hits but you can have dry yet pretty feet with these babies (my only hope is my foot is up to heels by then). I wouldn’t say no to the converse or Georgia Rose slipper shoes either, I am basically destined to be broke; but hey, I’ll have fabulous shoes right? Both are perfectly practical for both inclement weather AND a dodgy foot. I’m sold, several times over…damn you Sarenza!

Have you started thinking about your Spring wardrobe yet? What will you be looking forward to wearing?

up together

Hello rubbish grainy photos, although they kind of suit the outfit so maybe I shouldn’t be too hard on my inability to operate a camera just yet!
This was one of this week’s work outfits- Thursday I think? I picked up the tartan trousers in the New Look sale for £7 (with the bonus of having been wanting them full price) and teamed them with my Boden jumper and some Kate Kanzier flats. Determined to accessorise more I also added in this silk scarf which was a gift from the Bristol Blogger’s meet at Birdcage

I am SO glad it’s the weekend, yesterday was just about the worst Friday work wise that I can remember; everything happened/went wrong at once. We got through though so it can’t have been that bad. I’m looking forward to a couple of days of chilling out, coffee, friends and rubbish TV before it starts all over again.

What are you up to this weekend?
