Daisy Chain Dreaming: Ted Baker at Tucci

As holiday mode well and truly kicks in and excitement builds, I thought it apt that my weekly wishlist be the one I wish I was packing!
Having a browse through Tucci I fell head over heels for their range of Ted Baker; a brand that for reasons unknown I have often overlooked.
The floral prints and maxi dresses just beg to be worn in bright sunshine; either lounging round the pool/on the beach or for a night out exploring the local evening scene. The clutch bag is small enough to pack in your suitcase and smart enough for any occassion.
The fact that everything is on sale right now too just sweetens the deal- if I could pick one item and one item only it’d be the Printed Swimwear Maxi Dress at £59.50. My English Rose skin can’t handle the heat for long and this is the most beautiful cover up I have seen!

What are your holiday essentials?

Got any packing tips for me?

five minute summer

New Look dress, Superdrug tights, Noe shoes c/o Sarenza.

((we’re still trying to persuade Mae to use the cat flap))

Waking up to bright sunshine yesterday threw me completley and all plans of drab outfits went out of the window…I discovered this dress lurking forgotten in my wardrobe, despite being a fairly recent purchase. I popped it on only to realise it was missing a button on the back- never one to miss an opportunity to wear a pretty dress, yesterday morning saw me hastily sewing a button on before 7am!

Alas, the weather wasn’t to last and by the time I had finished work we were back to pouring rain. It was nice while it lasted though; I love how this year us Brits are celebrating and making the most of every second of that yellow ball in the sky, so rare it seems to be.

Happy Friday folks.
Three weeks until my holiday, the countdown has properly begun!

what Motel did next…

Fashion seasons never fail to confuse me (although this year they seem quite apt)…thinking of Autumn/Winter in July? Normally I’d hit the delete button as look books fly in, but no more…
just take a look at what MotelRocks.com has in store for us; I am LOVING all the leopard print, especially those shorts (here’s hoping they come with the gorgeous model’s legs, too!) and the retro Americana feel to the photos.

There’s also an wonderfully catchy video, to really get you in the mood…

I never thought I’d be saying this mid-summer, but please be over now, I have new-season shopping to do!

the lounger

New Look tee, Primark trousers, Dune via Sarenza shoes.

I bought these trousers as a bit of a joke last summer, seduced by the bargain basement price I didn’t really expect to wear them, and especially not for anything other than sleeping in…
but whatever,
sometimes it’s fun to throw caution to the wind and indulge in a rare morning off by wearing the comfiest, baggiest trousers known to mankind and enjoy not having to be anywhere or do anything.

I’m once again running short on inspiration on what to wear, especially for work. I’ve said before that my office is one of those no man lands when it comes to temperature, you almost have to disregard what is going on outside and dress for whatever you are least expecting!

Happy Thursday folk,
we’re almost there!

kissing in traffic

The latest little shop on the internet to find it’s way on to my lust-list is Kissing in Traffic, a Camden based fashion label specialising in distressed denim shorts, quirky bow ties and an array of necklaces and belts.

Run by fashion graduates full of creativity, Kissing in Traffic is available to buy online at ASOS boutique

Shorts will cost you £35, whilst necklaces, brooches and collars start at £8. A t-shirt is a bargain at £16.

I’d love to know what you think,

I quite fancy one of the collars for brightening up some basics.
