Laura Ashley #lauraashleyblogbday Wishlist!

As mentioned, yesterday after work my Mum and I made the two hour journey up to London to attend the Laura Ashley Blog Birthday party where I FINALLY got to put the face to the names of some of my oldest blogging friends, and had a sneak preview of what is to come this festive season from Laura Ashley! There was sweet treats and special tea galore and live music by the gorgeous and talented Liz Lawrence.
The generous Laura Ashley team also laid on a wishing tree where you won a (gorgeous) prize to take home. I am treasuring my leaf necklace!

The event was wonderful, perfect hostessing and Mum and I were made to feel so very welcome. Everything was set out beautifully and I pretty much just want to buy Laura Ashley in general but if I had to pick three things then it would be those shown above; the beautiful round mirrored jewellery box, a bottle of the newly re-launched Laura Ashley perfume and these adorable little woodland creatures (especially the owl!)

Sorry for the super brief post, full coverage of the event + all my photos will be going on my blog facebook page by the weekend and I have a post planned ALL about the perfume too…it’s truly special.

A huge thank you to Laura Ashley for been so wonderfully kind, and a big HELLO to everyone I met.

we are (Cybercandy Blogger) family

I’m no chocolate purist; I’ll happily eat 90% dark chocolate chased down with the cheapest supermarket milk chocolate you can find; if it’s called chocolate and I have a craving…I’m there!

Milka, however has a special place in my heart (I hear chooclate snobs world over rolling their eyes). Up until a few years ago you couldn’t get in the UK and our only taste was if a school friend was kind enough to bring some back from a family holiday…and the year I went to Austria aged 17…well.

I was delighted when I was signed up to the Cybercandy blogger family and given free reign to chose a product to review; they stock all kinds of goods from the world over but I opted for the classic combination of Milka with Daim both something I enjoy alone, so togther they had to be pretty good!

Ohhh it WAS good! The smooth gentle sweetness and flavour of the Milka that so many love constrasted perfectly with the crunchy almost burnt texture of the Daim to bring chocolate eating harmony. The downside to this bar is that it’s addictive….one square is NOT enough (nothing short of the full bar is enough really). Thank goodness Cybercandy are well stocked.

What are your chocolate preferences? With so many varities which is YOUR favourite Milka? We saw some pretty tasty looking ones in Holland!

P.S. stay tuned for more Cybercandy related goodness later!

Dear Deer

Dress: Lavish Alice, Lace Top: C&A in Holland, Tights: Tightsplease, Boots: Sarenza (the only pair of shoes bar flats I can currently wear).

Despite HAVING to own this dress I’ve barely worn it…I’m not sure why as I truly love it but I ignored it all summer and only started to crave it’s cutesy print when colder weather hit. I picked up this lace top whilst shopping in Holland, it cost all of 12 euros and is perfect under a dress like this for bringing it in to Autumn. I had little choice but to team it with these boots, as aside from ballet flats or slippers I can’t yet get my foot in to anything else (even converse or TOMS!)

I’m off to London this afternoon to attend the Laura Ashley blog birthday party. I was hoping to wear some killer boots, I own so many pairs but it appears my stupid foot had other ideas! I’m really looking forward to the event, it’s so rare I get to attend anything due to living so far away from the big city- this time work and trains were on my side and Laura Ashley were kind enough to invite my Mum, too so I have a travel buddy.

DIY Fashionista

Another week and another brand new book to share with you folks; DIY is a big thing in the blogging world so I think this might be of interest to a lot of you; it certainly was to me!

DIY Fashionista by Geneva Vanderzeil contains 40 stylish DIY projects to re-invent and update your wardrobe without breaking the bank.
With step-by-step guides and instructions on the basics you don’t need to be a pro to use these ideas. The pictures and steps are clear and easy to follow (even I can understand them) and I can’t wait to give some of the projects a go.

This book, published by Carlton in Hardback in October 2012 priced at £16.99 is a worthy addition for any DIY loving blogger and with Christmas fast approaching would be a good one to pop on your list (or, if feeling generous to buy for someone else!)

What do you think? Are you a DIY fan? I’ve never really attempted much myself, I often find blog and youtube tutorials somewhat confusing but this book makes it clear as day and I am hoping to brave it and get crafting!

Big thank you to Carlton for sending me a copy of the book.

Sarenza Shoe(s) of the Week

Whether you love his shoes or hate them, there is something oddly alluring about Jeffrey Campbell’s designs and the latest ones to arrive at Sarenza have got me smitten.

The Morning shoe with it’s bold, gold star makes my feet hurt just looking at it but oh how I covet it. Then there is the latest Lita Fab and the somewhat 90s feel of the Dorado boot. The ones I really crave however are the baddass 8th Street spiked boots *sigh*, they also come in a bright pink in attempt to make them more girly but the patent black just begs to be mine.

What do you think?
Are you a JC fan? Which of these designs do you love/hate the most?
