Sarenza Shoe of the Week

Gone are the days when Skechers meant trainer style shoes (often quite odd ones!) and little else. I’m loving the Ranger by Skechers boot as an affordable (£50) shoe for weekend wearing, uni students and anyone else who’s drawn in to the easy on the eye design. I’d be rocking them both with jeans and delicate dresses; the colour lending themselves to pretty much anything you pair them with.

What do you think?
Have skechers broken the mold? I’ll be keeping a closer eye on them from now on!

September Survival Wishlist

With the arrival of September comes a craving for rich berry colours, mixed with deep greens and muddy browns. We may yet get a burst of Summer but I’m not holding out hope and today I have conjured up a wishlist of what I would love to help me survive September!

1. Dark Green skinny jeans, £16.99 from New Look. I’m really starting to embrace jeans and trousers more and these are the perfect Autumn colour (I think)

2. Bunny Print sweater top £12 from George at Asda. I already own the jersey owl jumper and this is next on my list. I love the quirky print, relaxed fit and supersoft material (lovingly stroked in store yesterday). These jumpers are such bargains.

3. Barbour from ASOS. LOVE the Liberty lining in this, do not love the price tag of over £200! I am trying hard to save up for a Barbour though. I love them and know that once afforded, it will be a sound investment. I shall probably hit up the outlet at Clark’s village for mine though, they have some relative bargains there.

4. Velvet Chelsea Boots from Matalan, currently only £10 online! I’m on a shoe ban, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want these! I was caught stroking them in store yesterday. Oh so soft and I LOVE the colour.

What’s on your September wishlist? Still holding out for Summer?

August in Instagrams

It is no secret that 2012 has been a pretty rocky year for me (and many). August proved to be the almost perfect remedy to that by being hands down the best month of the year so far ((if you can ignore the downright tragic news I had a couple of weeks ago)).
Highlights, told through my ipod;

1. Mary Berry is my kitchen IDOL so as soon as I set eyes on my Grandad’s copy of this book I had to make it mine too!

2. Mae has kept all of us amused with her antics, this is her “it wasn’t me” face.

3. Favourite mug, which involved a two hour trek round a town in Spain to find the random little shop where Ellie purchased hers. Everytime I drink decent coffee from it I smile.

4. Owl jumper from Asda. I saw this in store just after I got back from holiday but not in my size. I stalked it online to no avail then found it in the tinyest Asda known to man on an offchance. My Nan loved owls and she would very much approve of this. At £10 it was an utter bargain too…and SO soft.

5. I’ve implemented some pretty big life changes in the last couple of weeks. This is my motivational notice board to keep me on the straight and narrow.

6. Fro-Yo!

7. Pipas, an addiction bought back from Spain; although my addiction is nothing compared to that of Ellie’s; she bought home 2kg of the things!

8. New shoes! I have some major love for Clarks right now! (And Leo, who sent me these)

9. £2 well spent.

10. Poolside. Oh how I wish I were back there now!

Was August a good month for you, too? Just from reading blogs it seems that maybe it was! Let’s hope September follows suit.
