Hola

Hola,
And greetings from our poolside view (and really, our hotel balcony as we’re ground floor right by the pool and bar!)
I had sort of intended to blog as we went along on this holiday, but I feel refreshed and alive and really, haven’t had a spare second to do so until now!
This holiday is proving to be everything I could have hoped for AND more, I can’t even begin to recount everything that we have done, for that I direct you to my travelling buddy Ellie and her blog

I will be so sad to leave this place behind tomorrow night, but we already have plans to come back here, this exact place for two weeks next year. I have met amazing people and achieved things I honestly didn’t expect to be able to achieve in just a few short days…

I’ll leave this entry here…other than to say Malaga is blogger shopping heaven!

Have a few photos to wet your appetite for my return: this might be the most appalling written entry ever, but dammit, I don’t care!

going away on a holiday

Dress; Primark via ebay, Tights Dorothy Perkins, Boots; Georgia Rose c/o Sarenza.

A semi Summer-y outfit to celebrate finishing work at 12:30pm yesterday and getting in to full on holiday mode! Snagged this dress for pennies on ebay last week and I love it, I remember wanting it from in store the year before last but not getting it…shopping fate strikes again!

I’m like an excited child on Christmas Eve/Day right now. I’ve not had a proper holiday for seven years and knowing I’ve worked damn hard for this, in every sense of the world is just amazing. To those who know my history, thank you for believeing in me…and to those going through it, it might be hard now, and things might not be perfect, but it does get better and life IS worth it. I’ve never felt quite so happy and content as I do right now (the only thing that could make it better would be my Nan being here to watch it all).

I rounded off work on a high by being signed off as qualified on INR star (which will mean very little to any of you I am sure!). My case is packed…all that’s left to do is paint my toenails and meet up with the gorgeous Ellie, the brains behind this holiday.

I may or may not be blogging whilst away, it entirely depends on wifi/Ellie sharing her laptop ;)/how much fun I am having.

Malaga has been in the forty degree range this week. Bring.It.On.

Mae’s unladylike attempt at perfecting her sun bathing pose in hopes she can come too.

time for tea

A real perk of my job is that I work mainly morning shifts, which means theoretically I could turn every afternoon in to an excuse to host afternoon tea. Is there anything more luxurious than curling up with a pretty tea pot, your favourite brew and a good book? I think not!

Lately the fabulous range of tea gifts from Twinings have caught my eye…with something for all occassions; the literary geek, the beautiful Rob Ryan collaboration and the extensive selections of tea you’ll be sure to find something for everyone (including yourself, it’s your party!)

What I fancy is a steaming cup of Jasmine Green Tea, my kindle and a bit of peace and quiet…but a tea party could be a social affair too,

who would your dream guests be?

slacker

This week’s outfit choices have been dismal to say the least; mainly my phlebotomy uniform followed by jeans and a tee,
the weather has been typically un-inspiring and a lot of my clothes are now reserved for holiday packing (ONE MORE SLEEP!)

Wearing:
New Look blouse, Topshop trousers and New Look flats.

Have I mentioned yet how holiday excited I am? Pity my patients at work today who will have a hyperactive five year old who has overdone the haribo to deal with *squee*

Anyway,
I shall use the holiday to take a blogging break I think…with normal service to resume once back (weather permitting, of course!)

randomly

Just a few of life’s recent(ish) happenings according to instagram.

1. Yoo Moo frozen yoghurt is amazing! Current favourite is AngelMoo, closely followed by the Tropical one.

2. Hello Kitty ice pack! Making taking lunch to work cool in all senses (£2 for two from Tesco, WIN!)

3. Cat’s really do like Dreamies; Flash used to be the exception to the rule. Mae eats enough for two cats.

4. Raybans.

5. Wondering where summer got to.
6. Roasted chickpea addiction. I am crazed…and have actually once again run out. WOE IS ME.
7. Chilling in the garden last week with magazines and ginger beer.
8. THEY ARE BACK. I did a little dance of joy when I spied these in Asda at the weekend.
9. I am yet to try the UK version of Fruit Loops, I’m not sure I can stand the dissapointment of the lack of E-numbers and flavourings.

10. Mae and my Toms. A true love story.

What have you been up to lately?
