Holiday Essential from Sure

I’m a bit late to the game with this post, I was sent a sample of the deodrant to review, but it arrived after my holiday so I didn’t get to test it to it’s full potential;
however, we did have a “heatwave” here over the weekend, and eventually it did heat up down West, although nothing compared to London it would seem!

I am fussy with deodrants. Very fussy. Sure is a brand I come back to time and time again and I am yet to find a product of theirs I don’t like. This would be no exception. The Summery scent left me feeling fresh, and although I didn’t have a very active weekend I stayed dry and sweat patch free (I’m one of those folk who sweats a lot!)

I reckon this is a must have for those of you still to jet off, or if your heading to a late Summer festival.

Well done Sure. Well done.

You’ll find this in all leading retailers costing £2.19(RRP) for 150ml, a roll on version is also available.

Sarenza Shoe of the Week

Continuing with my current love of all things A/W this week my top shoe pick from Sarenza is the Tia by KG boot, priced at £120

You really can’t beat a classic black ankle boot, and the star stud detail on the toes brings this bang up to date and will bring a toughened up edge to a girly outfit (as well as looking great with just about everything!)

How would you wear these boots?

Golden Oldie

Dress; Vintage via ebay, Shoes; Georgia Rose c/o Sarenza.

Yesterday was supposed to be the hottest day of the year, well, the West Country didn’t get the memo as such…it was warm, but not hot by any means!
So far this has been the perfect chilled out weekend, spent with Best.Friend. yesterday indulging in some window retail therapy, and today I get to see other Best.Friend. Ellie for our new tradition “Scratch Card Sunday”. Our aim is to buy a £1 scratch card each week and pool any winnings towards next year’s trip to Spain…we started last week and already have £5 which will buy us Sardines on the beach!

I don’t want to go in to detail, but thank you to those of you on twitter and facebook for the recent messages of love and support.

Life is too short. Get out there and live. I certainly intend to.

Looking Forward; A/W at Matalan

The sound of Matalan’s latest lookbook dropping through my door always fills me with excitement. They are one of those shops that go from strength to strength as seasons pass, providing high fashion pieces at affordable prices.
Pretty much everything in their Autumn Winter collection is something I’d wear, and I’m ready to say “so long” to Summer, such as it was.
Top of my list is the aztec shawl (£10), leopard print chelsea boots (£16) and pretty much the entire outfit in the first photo.

What are you looking forward to from the up-coming season? What trend will you be fully embracing? For me, I just want to work on my out of work style; more casual chic than “through a hedge backwards”. I’m not really loving my look right now and I want to streamline it…a late year resolution perhaps?

Oh Matalan,
you will be the demise of my bank account (and I wouldn’t have it any other way)
