Sarenza Shoe of the Week

With it being the Jubilee (very) long weekend, I couldn’t not feature one of the most iconic British brands for my Sarenza Shoe of the Week;

Dr Martens; I grew up wearing them…most people have probably owned a pair at some point in their life, and right now, my raspberry Pascal style boots are one of my most worn shoes.
This week I am coveting the 1461 w model…a brilliant brogue style shoe, specifically in Raspberry, £101 (I am obsessed with this colour), and Beige Needlepoint Thread, £131.90. Don’t be put off the price…a pair of Docs will last you a lifetime…a well made classic that will never date (and I promise they aren’t as uncomfortable to break in as rumour says!)

What’s your favourite British shoe brand? Can you remember your first DMs? Mine were suede purple and I loved them!

Jubilant Jubilee

As someone with no plans for the Jubilee whatsoever (clearly my street doesn’t go in for parties) I was delighted when George at Asda got in touch asking if I’d like to take part in a blogger picnic. At first I had grand plans to throw a picnic out in the garden, but then the weather turned and it became a conservatory tea for one instead.

As part of the celebration, we were asked to pick a dress to represent a decade of the Queen’s reign. Being a tall girl with a penchant for all things swishy, I opted for this stunning maxi dress with 1970s summer of love in my mind. I teamed the dress with my blue suede wedges by Dune and settled down to drink tea from a celebration cup and saucer.

It should also be noted that Asda sent THE most beautiful selection of fudges…I left the plastic wrapping on as they were to be saved for a later date, but you can still marvel at the beauty!

What are you doing, if anything to celebrate the Jubilee? A lot of streets local to me are holding parties and everywhere you look (except for my road) there is bunting and flags galore! Clearly I live in an area of spoilsports…or it’s a sign that if you want something doing, you should damn well do it yourself!

Lovely Lace

Lilac lace dress c/o Glamorous, Kate Kanzier flats. Knowing yesterday would be hell at work (and oh my, it was!) I decided to debut my second item from Glamorous so that even if I felt flustered, I was wearing something pretty! As it happened, my morning was spent wearing an attractive white apron as the phlebotomist called in sick so I stepped up and took bloods, but stil…I’m fairly sure that whenever I need something pretty to wear, I’ll be heading back to Glamorous, especially as the dresses aren’t insanely short on me!

Bonus cat lady shot of  Mae “talking” to the birds; she sounds like a chimp when she does that!

What are your long weekend plans? I’m hoping just to relax, I have a couple of things in the pipeline, but on the whole I expect it to be calm and chilled…everything the last week hasn’t been!

Wild at Heart

MotelRocks.com (who now offer FREE delivery) Jordan Jeans, H&M shirt, Toms (yep, another pair…too comfy!)

I also managed to persuade my Mum to have her photo taken…you’d never guess she’s approaching a big birthday this year…stunner!

Of course, no post would be complete without yet another photo of Mae, she’s just too cute!

Only a few more (er, 12) hours until the weekend starts…a whole four days…so needed! Have a good one folks, what do you have planned?
