Summer Loving @ Motel

Sunny weather and knowing I’ll be booking a holiday soon have led to much swimwear and general holiday clothes browsing today,
one of the first places I hit was MotelRocks.com and their drop of new arrivals, including the much anticipated swimwear did not let me down!

I’m really enjoying their Ice Cream , especially this bralette…not something I would usually wear, but on holiday anything goes.

Fruit Pastel is such an apt name of this gorgeous one piece…I love a bikini, but my body prefers something more modest and this WILL be mine before I jet off.

Check Blur is a print I’ve not seen before, and I hope Motel use it on more as I adore it! I’m not sure my bladder would cope with a playsuit (hello peanut sized organ) but I do love the idea.

If one is going to splash out on a bikini, it may as well be as pretty as possible. The Twister Bandeau is gorgeous, and actually a lot cheaper than many I have seen on the highstreet.

Where is your one stop shop for holiday essentials? What’s caught your eye?

Oh, and WHERE oh where can I find some shorts that are neither high waisted or hot pants? Bear in mind I’m 5’9 with long legs!

I hope everyone is enjoying the weather

silvery blues

The one thing I bought whilst up in Birmingham was a pair of Toms; ever since I saw my cousin wearing a pair a few months ago (hey Mina!) I started coveting them, and while browsing the Schuh website and finding the silver sparkly ones, my mind was set.
I’m torn between thinking they are one of the ugliest shoe styles around, to being one of the most awesome! What I do know is that my feet are in heaven, they are SO COMFORTABLE; and I really, really love the fact that for each pair you buy, Toms donate a pair to a child in need (see here for more on that). How do you feel about Toms?

Yesterday I wore them with a blue dress from Clothing at Tesco and Navy tights from Boots. I’m pretty sure my feet won’t be wearing anything else for a little while, despite my somewhat extensive shoe collection!

I’m really enjoying having a few days off work, it’s been a much needed chance to relax; yesterday I did a lot of therapeutic clearing out of things with my Mum (mindful that my Nan is most likely shaking her fist at me from heaven for the amount I threw away) in preparation for a fresh start and clean slate in getting myself sorted. I’ve been thrown a lifeline and I’m damn well going to take it and get my life on track once and for all (I just need to get my head around putting on a couple of pounds).
On the subject of getting healthy, I’d really encourage you to check out my cousin’s blog…she’s embarking on her own journey, and I would love it if some of you wonderful people who’ve shown me love and encouragement could share a little with her, too. We’re determined to make our Nan proud of us.

I finally got my hair back to red, too. Five months of faded ends and horrendous re-growth has finally come to an end! Next week I am planning adventures in dip-dye, but that is going to wait until after my friend’s wedding this weekend…

Well,
enjoy this much needed beautiful weather folks, I’m really looking forward to a sunny day shopping in Bath tomorrow! Don’t forget to check out the fab giveaway in the post below!

Love Poppy//Giveaway

I almost feel like I should apologise; I keep posting about awesome new places to shop lately and basing this on what I am like, a lot of you are probably cursing me for giving you major money spending urges…
but I shan’t apologise, because I am stubborn and because all in all I think you’ll thank me for what comes next!

To celebrate her launch, Poppy is offering up a Kids Spirit Hood (which will also fit ladies) worth £89 to one lucky reader!

To enter all you need to do is leave a comment on this post telling me which Love Poppy product you love most, and leave an e-mail address so I can contact you if you win.

For ONE extra entry you can Like Love Poppy on Facebook and/or Follow her on Twitter

Competition is open to UK readers only, and will close on Monday 4th June at 3pm.

If you can’t wait that long to see if you’ve won, then Love Poppy is also offering a generous discount to my blog readers; simply enter DAISY20 at the checkout for 20% off!

Sarenza A-Z: T is for Ted Baker

Now this is a brand I bet 99% of you are familiar with; I know I was, but more with the clothes and other accessories than with the shoes until I stumbled accross them on Sarenza

I bring to you Ted Baker…representing the letter “T” with it’s humble Glasgow roots!

As usual, from Top to Bottom:

1. Tied, £33

Going against everything I usually like in a shoe, the first two pairs are my favourite, this season I seem to be reverting back to my childhood and the combination of bright colours and shiny plastic are really appealing.
How about you? I seem to have covered two ends of the spectrum here and I’d love to know which side you sit on.

Jolie Lady

Dress c/o Jolie Moi, Tights from Primark, Shoes- Shellys c/o Sarenza.

Chances are you are yet to hear of Jolie Moi, I certainly hadn’t until they got in touch asking if I’d like to feature one of their dresses.
They might be a new brand, but I can’t see them staying unknown for long, they sell such beautiful pieces at reasonable prices I predict it won’t be any time at all before they are a firm fashion favourite!
The dress I’m wearing is the Button front Light Blue Midi Dress which has the sweetest sail boat print and costs £30,
A few other favourites from the site include…

Asymmetric Chiffon Spatial Dress, £40
Floral Green Pleated Skirt, £28
Two Tone Braided Bag, £42

Had you heard of Jolie Moi yet? It’s shot straight to the top of my places to browse and create wishlists for, and I bet it will have the same effect on you!
