Dorothy Perkins dress, New Look tights, I Love Shoes boots c/o Sarenza, Necklace c/o myflashtrash

Blimey, this week has been busy, I need another long weekend to recover from it and I still have two 9.5 hour shifts to go!
Generally uninspired with workwear, as ever, due to ever changeable weather and dodgy office climate, I feel like I wear the same things over and over.

I love this necklace, I was sent it ages ago by Amber Atherton, Made in Chelsea star and owner of myflashtrash (I did the twitter feed for the site ages ago) and it got tonnes of attention today. I do love jewellery that can start a conversation!

How is your week going? I’ll be so glad to see 5:30 on Friday!

Mid-week Musing

This is the third time I’ve worn this exact outfit, I just love the matchiness of it.

Mae clearly thinks life is a game of hide and seek; so far we’ve “lost” her more times than I care to admit to, she’s a sneaky kitty!

I should not go near shops when stressed;  I don’t even have a holiday booked yet!

Further musings;

– Bank holidays mess up my precarious at best knowledge of what day it actually is.

– The behaviour of the population will generally baffle me.

– Why does my town have NO mini eggs? Or reduced Easter goodies for that matter.

– I would be a heck of a lot more productive if it weren’t for twitter, instagram and online window shopping.

– Why do I never have time to paint my nails or bother with my hair; and yet don’t ever achieve anything.

What’s on your mind?

After the cold winter, it’s time to scare away the shadows by getting some colourful pieces into your wardrobe and prepping for the summer!

If you don’t want to dress like a rainbow then fear not, there are some fantastic accessories this season to chase the gloom and lighten even the darkest of corners, so try some neon or pastel handbags, bracelets and scarves to jazz up an old wardrobe for a new least of life!

This season, the must have bag has to be the punchy pink Alexander McQueen Clerkenwell shoulder bag, designed to banish cloakroom confusion and brighten even the greyest of outfits. Its neon fuschia with punk rock studs; perfect for a night out.

For a girl with a more floral nature, the Longchamp and Mary Katrantzou is ‘bags of fun’ and the perfect arm candy for a girl with lots of stuff to carry around.

To add appeal to the dullest of outfits, Givenchy never fails to disappoint and has wowed again with their fantastic new designed scarf. Styled on birds of paradise, the scarf will adorn your neck and brighten the blacks while making a trouser suit look more casual.

Whatever the style you are looking to add to, accessories in bright or pastel shades with designer handbags will give your wardrobe a new lease of life!

Daisy Chain Dreaming: La10 Jewellery

This blog is full of wishlists lately, but I seriously can’t help myself. The latest objects of desire come from Jewellery brand La10 who specialise in unique designs inspired both by 19th Century architecture and the geometric lines of modern day life.

Each piece is unique, with it’s own story and character making it ultra special. At around £120-£190 for a ring it’s not cheap; but then, it’s not expensive either when you consider the workmanship that goes in to it and jewellery is one area in which I don’t mind investing.
At the moment my ultimate dream piece would be the open pearl ring in sterling silver although I could happily see myself wearing anything from the entire website!

Do you like to invest in jewellery? I’m sick of wasting money on cheap rings and necklaces that turn my skin green or tarnish after a couple of wears…the only thing I will always buy cheap is earrings because I am forever losing them! What’s caught your eye from La10?

Trousers from Zara (last year), Jumper from Miss Selfridge, Flats from Dune c/o Sarenza.

Worn for a rainy and miserable Bank Holiday Monday. I was due to have my time off work extended to include today, but a colleague is off sick, so it’s back to work I go with the masses. At least now we’re the other side of Easter it won’t be quite so full on and crazy.

Congratulations to Josie , winner of the handbag and the shoe books! I’m sure I’ll have some more giveaways soon! Right now I have a little monster telling me it’s time for breakfast, so I’d best go (I’ve never known a cat eat so much!)
