Thanks for the Memories

Losing Flash was tough, we still see him everywhere in the house. We wanted, as a family, to do something to mark his passing and celebrate his life, so when Bonusprint got in touch asking if I’d like to review their photobook service, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Creating a photobook is so simple, you just upload the photos you want on to the website, select a theme and cover and let Bonusprint do the hard work!

For iPad users, a new app can be purchased from the iTunes store (£9.99) that allows you to create your book from anywhere…on a two week holiday? Upload your photos and your book could be waiting on your return!

My photography skills don’t do the quality of the book justice. It really has made such a wonderful tribute…

and with Christmas fast approaching, photobooks would make a wonderful gift for friends and family, sharing memories, nights out or (because I know a few of you are going to give birth imminently) new babies!

Have you ever made a photobook before? I hadn’t, but I will in the future, especially when you can create a book from a little as £10.99 and have it on your doorstep in around seven days.

HUGE thank you to Bonusprint for the perfect tribute to a much missed furry friend.

Violets are Blue

FRIDAY!

This is yesterday’s outfit…that Jane Norman dress that I love, plus New Look wedge boots.

Just a few more hours and the weekend is here! I can’t wait…dinner and drinks with two of my favourite girls, maybe some fireworks, or at least sparklers on Saturday…

What are your plans?

like mud

H&M skirt, Next jumper, Primark tights, Matalan shoes.

For years I avoided wearing brown, or indeed any earthy tone…dubbing them “boring” and instantly dismissing any item that contain even the merest hint.

Fast forward to this season and suddenly I’m loving it, as evidenced by yesterday’s outfit…top to toe and shades of “mud” (perhaps I spent one too many school trips covered in cow’s poo and I was for years traumatised by the colour?)

Yesterday was one of those really, insanely busy days that could, and probably should have been terrible but instead left me feeling great; confident and competent. I love days like that and it reminds me why I get up and go to work each day.

Huge thank you to everyone who has so far voted for me in the Sarenza competition! Please carry on doing so…you could win £800 worth of shoes yourself! All you need to do is tweet the following:

The coolest gloves on earth thank you!

winter flowers and calling favours

Zara dress and Jeffery Campbell boots worn for my day off this week. A productive day by any means despite being not in the least bit restful!
After posting about the party dresses yesterday I got ahead of myself and ordered the sequin number…we don’t even have a venue for our work party yet, but I’m wearing the dress regardless; it could be at the local, run down pub full of farmers for all I care.

After a spate of shopping lately, I’m trying to go on a non-frivolous spend week but so far…not so good. Maybe I’ll start MY weeks on a Wednesday? Now I’ve finally got used to the fact I have a job with regular hours and regular wages I seem to have let pay day madness get to me.

I’m super excited to announce I’m in the final 15 of the Sarenza Bloggers Review Competition! where I could win £800 worth of shoes! I’d love it if my readers could vote for me (vote and you could win £800 of shoes too!)

Happy Mid-Week…it’ll be the weekend before we know it…what are you planning?

party planning

Anyone following me on twitter will know just how much I am loving Matalan right now! With Christmas fast approaching (oh, hey there November) they’ve just started to showcase their party dresses, and I’m smitten! I popped along to my local store on Sunday and tried on the.dress. (although not in the colour I wanted, hence a non-purchase for now) and I saw some other real gems too, all at crazy good prices, meaning new shoes and accessories are totally justifiable.

1. Sequin Swing Dress has a touch of old-time glamour too it, the sequins and sheer give a slightly gothic feel and yet it remains modest, making it perfect for a works do.

2. Jade and Black Lace Butterfly Bow Dress this is just crazy gorgeous, classic and the jade and black go together perfectly. It looks even more special close up than it does on the website!

3. Layered Tiered One Shoulder Dress in my favourite shade of blue! The simplicity of this dress leaves lots of scope for accessories and the cut is lovely.

4. Sequin Shift Dress a.k.a. MY dress! I tried on the black and gold version of this (stunning but my heart is set on the blue). Unlike many a party dress this isn’t too short on my tall frame and the long sleeves stop it being too OTT. I’m planning on wearing this with some solid tights and some plain yet killer shoes…providing it doesn’t sell out before I get my mitts on it!

The best thing?
Not one of these dresses cost over £30! Bring on the invites!

Have you started party outfit planning? Where have you seen your dream dresses/s/outfit?
