and relax

Yesterday was one of those weekend days that you spend the whole working week longing for. Sunny (and even mild) weather, a catch up/gossip session with a friend, coming home to find a sweet treat from your Mum (a bag filled with marshmallows and fudge…she knows me too well) and a night of reality TV.

Dressed head to toe in New Look, apart from the boots which came via Spartoo.

Another one of those days ahead. I woke at 7:30, which constitutes a lie-in for me. The sun is shining, and I’m off for a bit of retail therapy (best make it window shopping) with Best Friend…and then I’m going back to hers to meet the latest addition to her family; a little pug puppy!
Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without the strictly and xfactor results; I might even manage to stay awake for I’m a Celebrity too; and to think, I never used to watch TV!

I hope everyone is having a perfect weekend.

Diet Coke Does it Again

Moving on from previous collaborations with Nails Inc, Diet Coke have teamed up with Models Own to bring out a range of exclusive lipglosses.

“Get ready to paint your lips plum, red, pink or nude. All you have to do to get your hands on one, absolutely free, is pick up two 500ml bottles of Diet Coke in one transaction at selected Boots stores nationwide from 16th November to 27th December. With each lipgloss worth up to £6, pick up the entire Diet Coke Christmas Kisses Collection for the ultimate party season accessory, perfect for girls who Love it Light.”

Pick from;

Golden Nude, Pure Plum, Lacquer Red and Glossy Pink….or get all four! I always take advantage of these offers, Diet Coke is usually on some kind of promotion so you can end up with all four glosses for less than a tenner. Yep. I really do get through that much Diet Coke I consider it a bargain!

Which colour has caught your eye?

In Theory

In theory these stem ginger truffles sent to me by Booja-Booja would make the perfect gift. In reality, the only person I would want to gift these too is myself. Because I am selfish. And these are too good to share.

Booja-Booja are the makers of dairy free, organic truffles (as well as other delectable goodies such as ice-cream!) in a range of flavours including three brand new ones; stem ginger, rum sozzled sultana and banoffee toffee. I’m a HUGE fan of ginger so I did a little happy dance when the postman delivered these. The “re-seal” me sticker on the inner packaging was a bit of a joke…who owns that much willpower?

These are dense, rich, spicy chocolate perfection. Worth it for the scent when you open the box alone. They come packaged in a sleek black box, making them a ready prepared gift or addition to a dinner party table (if you are more generous than I) and available in a 104g box.

You’ll find a full range of stockist on the website, they aren’t the cheapest of treats; but then, they aren’t your standard box of milk tray either!

Have you tried anything by Booja-Booja? Will you be gifting it this year?

WHAT FLAVOUR SHOULD I TRY NEXT?

this old thing

This dress is another of those that I’ve debated getting rid of. For months on end it sits forgotten in my wardrobe and my hands hover over it every time I do a clear out…but then, I put it on and decide I can’t possibly get rid and I WILL wear it more.

How many months before it sees the light of day again?

I think it must be five years ago when I bought this dress, on a random venture to Asda. I don’t know why I bought it at the time; it didn’t match my jeans and hoody kind of style, and I wasn’t working so had no office to wear it to..but I did, and now it works. Perfectly. I WILL wear it more.

The boots were a bit of a bargain from New Look, half price at £17.49, then a further 20% off with the help of a voucher from their latest magazine. £13.50 for suede heeled boots? Yep.

Finally Friday! Oh, it’s been a long week. Roll on 5:30 eh?

Weekend plans anyone?

Stolen Thunder//Stolen Heart

I mentioned the other day that the wonderful folk at Stolen Thunder had featured me on their blog and that a wish-list was coming…
I’m not a girl to go back on her word, so here’s a little list of what I covet right now.
The shop has been on my radar for quite some time, probably since I first began to read blogs a couple of years ago, and the launch of their beautiful new heritage collection further cemented my love.

1. I love gin wooden necklace

2. Gold wishbone charm necklace

3. Assorted rings from the heritage collection

4. Midsummer hare necklace
