Yesterday: Floral dress, Yellow shop in Bath, Ethel Austin tights, Shellys shoes via Sarenza

Today: Colour block dress, Matalan (Sunday purchase, £16), Accessorize tights, New Look flats.

Just a couple of outfits before I head to work. Today and Tomorrow are my mad days, but we’re mid-week now, halfway to the weekend, and I, for one am looking forward to letting my hair down!

Blue + Mondays = Hand in Hand

For work yesterday. Blue on a Monday should be the law.

Or perhaps we should work on getting Mondays banned.

Either way, it’s Tuesday now! Have a good one

P.S. ever closer to 1000 followers! Eek.

Not so Ugly Betty

Another new to me shoe brand from Spartoo, Betty London seems to have an edge on masculine/feminine shoes and I LOVE it!

1. Greva, £58. Practically perfect. I’m thinking floral dresses, pastel tights and midi skirts. Not my usual style shoe, but I am smitten.

2. Moulouk in Blue, £58 because my obsession with brogue style shoes knows no bounds. The blue colour and fringe detail means I can totally justify owning a pair of these because they are like nothing I already own!

3. Sibel in Beige, £75…again with the florals and maybe some denim? I’m not usually drawn to pale shoes because they show up the dirt so easily but with a bit of weatherproof spray and I’m sure they’d survive my less than tidy walking ways (else, I’ll just never walk anywhere!)

4. Vatchi in Brown, £75. Stompy, clompy “I mean business” boots. I really don’t need to elaborate further, do I?

Have you heard of Betty London before?
I’ll be keeping a closer eye in future. My shoe obsession is really getting out of control…but shoes. Oh shoes, they always fit and never let you down.

hit/shit

Weekend casual style!

It’s been a rollercoaster of a week here, and for the nation in general so it would seem. Here’s a little run down of what has rocked, and what has frankly, been shit.

On the Hit List

– Having Flash home. Yep, still banging on about that. I’ve never been quite so thankful to wake up in the early hours to a slightly smelly, cuddle demanding ball of fur.

Making progress.

– Down time. I’ve had slightly less office hours at work this week and I’ve quite enjoyed having some quiet afternoons. This novelty will soon wear off, I’m sure…but whatever!

– Not wasting money! I’ve made no impulse buys this week (yes, really) and the feeling is great!

This stuff! Cloudy Lemonade chocolate might sound vile, but tasting is believing! The popping candy adds an extra special touch! Grab some whilst you can!

The Shit List

– Probably top of everyone’s shit list this week would be the riots. I just fail to understand how such senseless violence can be the solution to anything. It saddens me greatly.

The weather. Because I am British and I WILL complain about the weather at any given chance. I feel cheated out of a summer, big time.

– Wardrobe frustration. All of a sudden nothing fits, or looks right or is just too damn boring. I need to win big, scrap the lot and start over.

– Being anti-social. I’ve missed out on several chances to meet up with people this week, partly for good reason and partly because I am lame. Operation social life GO GO GO.

Ah well, a new week beckons and it’s time to start fresh. Have a fabulous Sunday folk; feel free to share what’s rocking your world/making you rage this week.

Snacking Saturday; the accessories

For me, a key element to snacking is what you eat from. I’m a nightmare for crockery; from the cute melamine, to pretty china. I can spend hours looking for a new bowl, plate or the (and this is important) perfectly shaped and sized spoon…

From top to bottom, my current lustings include, but are not limited to…

1. Cath Kidston dessert plates. Despite already owning far too many Cath Kidston plates. I just love the size of these, perfect for everything from toast to cake.

2. RICE Melamine Spoons. I like small spoons. In pretty colours. Fact.

3. Cute little snack pots from dotcomgiftshop. My snack transportation is a source of envy at work. These need to be added to my vast collection. Really.

4 and 5. I am head over heels for the Word range from Keith Brymer Jones, especially the bowl mugs and “eat” side plate. Just fabulous.

6. C’est la vie bowl from Urban Outfitters. I own about twenty bowls, which is so far the only reason I am yet to purchase this. If it ever goes in the sale then I don’t think I’ll be able to hold back!

What do eat from?
Any secret shops to share?
Do you have an ideal spoon?
