feels like FRIDAY!

Finally Friday! This week has sped by yet felt miles long, too! I’m working again this morning, just fitting in a sneaky blog post before I leave!

The Dress I HAD to Have.

13th January 2011

People who follow me on twitter know it was love at first sight when I saw this dress on the Peacocks website. Up until that point I didn’t know I was a fan of the Peter Pan collar that seems to be doing the rounds, but I promised myself that if our tiny local store managed to get the dress in stock, I’d buy it.

The next day?! I walked past…and there it was.

MINE.

I wore it for work yesterday. Comfortable and flattering, I now want the animal print version too!

SQUIRREL

11th January 2011

Today neither Mum or I were in work (I had an appointment first thing, wonderful!) so we went on one of our random jaunts over to Clevedon.

Our first stop was a row of boutique style shops where we often shop for gifts. It’s especially fabulous for quirky jewellery like my “dance…” bangle, though mission today was un-successful.

On the way back to the car we cut through a park. Quiet, unassuming, then…SQUIRRELS. So many of the things. Such cuties, I tried to get more photos but damn, they move fast!

It was a lovely day, rare sunshine! We also went in to the centre of the town and had lunch at a favourite cafe of ours that does amazing poached egg on toast (any poached egg is amazing to me, so long as I haven’t made it!) and had a wander around the shops.

Last stop on the way home was Waitrose where we bought some massively reduced Christmas goodies…30 cards for 85p and Christmas marshmallows for 25p anyone?!

I’m at work tomorrow and Friday, I’m sure there will come a time when I resent it but right now even getting up early doesn’t phase me as I’m up by 6 most days regardless!

The Ants are Coming

Monday Monday Monday,
always rolls around too fast! I’m not down to work Mondays, which is a relief, I don’t think I could handle a working day on the worst day of the week! Actually, I’m only doing 8 hours this week as I have appointments and such…I’d rather be working!

(side note, as I write this there are seagulls outside going mad and flying in to my window, HELP!)

Outfit today is a Vintage floral dress sent by the lovely Alex with a New Look denim shirt, randomly knotted belt and gorgeous tights…I love this colour, Charlotte has great taste in Christmas presents!

This is a really odd photo, but you can see the colours much better!

On top of the mugs I painted yesterday, I also did this plate for my ant obsessed Dad

For this I simply used a ceramic painter pen which doesn’t require oven finishing. You’ll find these in most craft shops in a range of colours and finishes.

For the painting I have this set which is brilliant as it has several paints, a 3D outliner pen and a mug to start you off! I got extra mugs/bowls/etc cheaply at Ikea!

January adverts. According to the TV/every magazine I pick up, I should be joining weight watchers whilst downing slim fast and joining every gym in sight.
