Burlesque

Miss Selfridge have collaborated with Sony Pictures to create a capsule collection of nine t-shirt designs celebrating the release of the most hotly anticipated film of the year “Burlesque”.
The film starring Cher and Christina Aguilera has inspired the collection which features a navy pearl effect vest, a white corset style tee with diamante detailing and burlesque dancer print tees in red, white and black featuring the drawings of Andrea Selby who sketched all the action from the film set. Miss Selfridge will also show you how to recreate the look from the film with their ‘get the look’ range in store featuring a stunning black beaded cape, a one shoulder feather detail black body con dress, plush velvet leggings and a fabulous pair of diamante detail shoe boots – perfect for making a statement during the Christmas
party season.

Miss Selfridge were kind enough to share some photos of the range with me, which in turn I am sharing with you! I’m head of heels for these pieces, utterly beautiful and very unique!

I’m not usually a t-shirt girl at all, always attracted to dresses over anything else, but the t-shirts in this range are something else altogether! Don’t get me started on the divine dress though…I’m drooling.

All of the designs will be available online AND in-store from the 9th December and prices start from £22.

Burlesque comes to cinemas on the 17th of December, making it perfect for a Christmas night out. I’m not a film girl (noticing a patten here?) and usually resent paying high cinema prices for something I will fidget all the way though (it doesn’t matter how good the film is, I fidget!) but I’m thinking of taking my Mum to see this one as an additional Birthday treat.

Burlesque is the story of Ali (Christina Aguilera) who is a small-town girl with a big voice who follows her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.

This is probably the only regular feature I manage on the blog, my good old weekly wishlist!
Here’s what is topping it this week!

Vila poncho cardigan from ASOS. This looks so cosy and perfect for layering!

Shorts from topshop. I don’t usually bother with the topshop website because it’s inevitable I’ll fall in love with most of it and it’s all out of my price range, but in a moment of weakness I ventured on there and found these shorts.

Eyeko toffee fatbalm! I’ve seen such rave reviews of this, and I’ll probably order mine soon! If anyone is ordering from Eyeko don’t forget to use my code! E12740

This amaze-balls ring from myflashtrash. At £95 it’s well out reach but a girl can dream, oui?

Finally, POPCORN tea from tea pigs. One of my closest friends is a fan of this, and she introduced me to tea pigs in the first place, so I think this is a must try!

So, in err 3 weeks time it’ll be Christmas Eve?! What on earth. I’m glad I’m kind of organised this year as it’s really caught me by surpise that it’s *that* close. Right after I finish this post I’m off in to town to pick up the last few presents I need.

Still rocking my crazy lady hair. I kind of like it, and it’s something…different from me, the girl who *never* wears her hair down. I need to re-colour it and make it more even. Super red head, or something like that.

Todays outfit consists of a thermal top under a Primark jumper dress. The tights were a twitter comp win from we love colors and the wedge boots are from New Look.

Thanks to the lovely Alex my ears are now toasty warm! I don’t do hats, so these headbands are perfect!

Anyway, best bust a move.
