Happy Friday! The end of another week, and only 5 weeks to go to Christmas, how bloody scary is that?!

Thanks for the lovely comments on my last post, for those of you who asked; it is indeed a top worn under the dress.

I have a couple of tags/awards to do and pass along, which I promise I will do over the weekend. I have a few bits and pieces to get done today so this is a fairly quick post!

Yesterday I wore:

The dress is a new member to my wardrobe (with many thanks to covertcandy and their awesome vintage shop), and the boots are 3 years old now (I think!)

Today I’ve gone for a more dressed down approach:

What are your weekend plans?
I’m working tomorrow and visiting my grandparents,
and as far as I know, Sunday will be a lovely quiet day where I can catch up on tags and make some more jewellery.

Have a good one, whatever you do!

Hey guys, happy mid-week. How’s it going?
Not much happening in my little patch of the world. Just general everyday coming and going, and avoiding the still awful weather.

Quick outfit post today before I head out for wanderings with my Mum. We’re having lots of girly time this week, with Dad being away, it’s rather nice. Yesterday we went to the local garden centre to look at the Chrismtas displays (some were hilariously awful) and pick up a few bits,
today we’re off for a meeting that I need to attend and them window shopping in the next town along.

I’m getting awfully tempted by the high street sales that seem to be cropping up. I already succumbed to New Look (a skirt and leggings for £16.50…score!) and I’m trying my best to ignore the rest of them as I am severley lacking in funds!

Have a great day!

Morning all, Happy Monday and start of another new week! I hope its going to be a good one.
What did you get up to this weekend? UKers, I hope the weather wasn’t too awful for you, we had the worst of it Saturday, it was scary at times (or, I’m a wimp!)

Outfit today:

The top is actually a vintage dress, which I bought because I loved the detail on the front,
however, I didn’t take my height in to consideration and I feel it is far too short to be worn as a dress. Having being sat in my wardrobe for 3 months, I finally decided to pair it with the “jeggings”.

Thanks for the amazing feedback on my jewellery, all but the compass are still available, so drop me an e-mail if your interested.

Have a great day!

outfit and jewellery for sale

Weekend at last! Oh man am I relieved (apart from the whole having to work tomorrow morning thing)
How’s it been for you?
A better one over here, just cold, with miserable weather and too little sleep, but I’ll live. I’m starting to get in to the Christmas spirit and caught myself humming a festive tune this morning.

Outfit today = slobby,
because I have no need to leave the house thanks to my best friend/personal shopper, Trudi.

All I have planned is lots of curling up under blankets, working my way through the stack of magazines I seem to have.

I made some new jewellery yesterday and thought I’d offer it up for sale on here,
it’s ideal for Christmas gifts for friends/family
(or for yourself)
Drop me an e-mail at adaisychaindream@googlemail.com if your interested in a piece. I ship worldwide and accept paypal.

affordable vintage from covert candy

Hello everyone, welcome to the middle of the week! I hope its been a good one so far? It’s still bloody cold here, but I’m adapting 😉
Finally got in to town Christmas shopping today. Please don’t hate me, but I only have three more presents left to buy
(and no money left!)

I know a lot of us are vintage fans, and I also know it can get very expensive, so I wanted to bring www.covertcandy.co.uk and their vintage shop to your attention as a one stop place for swapping the clothes you don’t wear for credits to buy ones you will, and their seperate online shop for cheap vintage clothes

I’ve been a member of covert candy for some time now and really love the site. I’ve had some great items from there, and have felt better about culling my unworn clothes, knowing they’ve gone to a good home.
The vintage shop is great, with loads of variety for really, really reasonable prices. Where I live, the only vintage shop is a teeny tiny one of the highstreet and it jacks prices up so much, that I often go in there feeling I’ve walked in to Selfridges or something (not that we have such shops in my sleepy little village!)

All the vintage items on covert candy are hand selected from vintage wholesalers in Paris, and they have fresh batches arrive approximatley every month. You can sign up for e-mail alerts of new arrivals as soon as they arrive.

So
go check it out, and sign up for the clothes swap too. We might end up with each other’s clothes 😉

Outfit wise, I’ve done something I swore I never would and bought a pair of “jeggings” although the ones I got, from New Look are the thickness and quality of a pair of skinny jeans, in my opinion, just with an elasticated waist.

Not bad for £15!
